The best French restaurant if you’re looking for a quick and tasty option. Their menu is short but one of the best we tried in Dijon. Taste the snails and the slow cooked meat, totally worth it the wait. Dog friendly, reservations not allowed and you will have to wait for your table, but worth it.

A great spot if you’re after a quick, tasty meal with a local French touch. The prices across the menu were very reasonable, and the food came out pretty quickly. The staff were friendly and efficient, keeping things moving without being overbearing.
One downside: they don’t take reservations, so we took a bit of a gamble walking there in the rain—thankfully, we got a table! It’s a fairly large place with plenty of seating, which helped.
Overall, a solid choice for a casual bite and a drink when you’re in town.

ordered the Dauphiné ravioli, but what I received was definitely not what was promised on the menu. Instead of authentic ravioli, they served cheap little square pasta with some processed cheese inside (the kind you can buy pre-packaged in a supermarket). It looked unappetizing and tasted disappointing. This was certainly not ravioli.
The snails, on the other hand, were good — that’s a positive point.
The restaurant interior was nice, but the service ruined the experience: our waiter was visibly irritated about working, and even told us he was “doing us a favor” because it was his dinner break (at 6 PM!). But another servant was good and nice
Overall, the visit was a letdown: food below expectations, unpleasant service, only the snails and the décor made it bearable.

My wife and I ate a good boullion meal here in August 2025. We had seats outside, the weather was hot, and the to and fro of passers by maddbfor entertainment. We started with salads, my wife then had a steak followed by an apricot tart, I had bourguinon followed by cheese. Service was reasonable prompt.

We went to Bouillon Notre Dame for dinner to taste traditional food, and we probably could not have chosen a better place. The beef was super tender and went very well with the mushroom and the gravy sauce. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, and the special mustard from Dijhon added a perfect aroma to the chicken. The creme brulee was super light and delicious. Eating dinner with a view of the Notre Dame was an amazing experience. The prices are super reasonable for a location and food like these.
