Valentino Pizzeria Trattoria opened for business in Sarasota Florida on July 5th, 2006. Our family wanted to create a casual, family-friendly and energetic restaurant that served what we coin Grandma’s Italian Food. This simple, authentic and homemade cuisine borrows from every region of Italy, along with a little influence from our Northern New Jersey roots.
Traditional Italian meals prepared using locally sourced produce & served in simple, warm surrounds.

Valentinos on Clark Road is a favorite among us. We often order takeout and catering. The food is consistently delicious. The service is also exceptional. We strongly recommend supporting this local establishment.

Absolutely fantastic! The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is upbeat and fun. The garlic rolls are out of this world—soft, buttery, and packed with flavor! The Chicken Cardinale is amazing and definitely worth ordering. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. A great spot for a fun night out or a casual dinner with friends!

The linguine noodles—served in place of traditional spaghetti—were unfortunately cooked far past al dente, leaving them soft, limp, and lacking any real texture. The overall flavor of the dish was surprisingly reminiscent of spaghetti O’s, which made the meal feel more like something from a childhood lunchbox than a restaurant entrée.
On top of that, the online ordering system didn’t work for me at all. When I mentioned this to the staff, the woman at the counter told me that “half the people can figure it out and the other half are like me,” which didn’t exactly inspire confidence. Hmmm

I’ve been going to Valentino’s pretty much since it opened and have eaten there many dozens of times. The food is good, the service is good, it’s been my go to place and recommend it countless times. I love the meatball parmigiana sandwich, however they have changed the bread and the sandwich is not as good anymore. The new bread is just too soft and does not hold up to the sauce and heat. If anyone at Valentino’s is reading this please go back to the old bread, it was so much better. Sandwich is just ok now

Seriously, the crust is amazing, cracker crunchy, sauce and topping ratio is perfection!
We order the Margarita and the Viva La Veggie.
Every slice of pizza will fall short of the goodness we experienced at this authentic Italian pizzeria.

AMAZING!!! MY FAVORITE BAKED ZITI AND RAVIOLIS!!! Their salads, knots and italian bread are delicious, but the pizza is amazing as well, and Andrea is an amazing server. It is a must visit if you are in the area!!! You won’t regret.

I’ve dined here dozens of times, and only one meal ever disappointed (a new special they were trying out). The pizza, pasta, sandwiches and salads from the menu have always been excellent. Always end up too full for dessert.
Server last time was sweet, but I think they must have been busier than expected, or someone did not show. That’s unusual.
It is pretty noisy here, but not so much that you can’t have a conversation. Fun artwork on the walls.

This Italian restaurant has excellent food and very good lunch specials. When it comes to service Andrea is the best server in Sarasota! We were there on opening day and have been enjoying this excellent restaurant since July 5, 2006. And we have never been disappointed.

My experience has been excellent at this restaurant. The serving staff is extremely friendly and polite. Their pizza is good. I like to get mine crispy, so I asked them to cook it longer, and I’ve also had their pasta, which has been good. Their garlic rolls are delicious!
