Amazingly great service, atmosphere, food and drinks! Our server Mia was AMAZING and checked on us just the right amount, give her a raise!!! The rest of the staff was very considerate and made us feel welcome. It was reasonable priced for there being cozy decorations, live music, and amazing food!

Harp & Fiddle family owned restaurant

I recently dined at Harp & Fiddle which is family owned and had an exceptional experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it perfect for both casual outings and special occasions. The food was outstanding, with every dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The drinks menu was equally impressive, offering a wide selection of creative cocktails and a well-curated wine list. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and drinks!

I have hosted 2 parties at Harp & Fiddle and each time the staff has been excellent, food phenomenal, and are so easy to work with. The party room gives off great lighting and is so spacious. They have a Bluetooth speaker to play your own music along with other amenities

Will always be my go to spot to host any events

We arrived, not realizing the kitchen was closing, and they were so nice and let us place our order. The food was really good. The service was the right amount of checking in on us, and it was the perfect night to sit outside and enjoy a meal.

Hostess didn’t say anything to us when we walk in. Just gave me a look. Said they had no tables available, when clearly there was. Sat at the bar and ordered a couple of drinks. I ordered a seagrams VO with 7-up and a Crown Royal on the rocks. The VO seagrams was very watery. I asked the bartender if she put any alcohol in the drink. When we got the bar bill, they charged a $2 pour fee! Unbelievable! We have NEVER seen that ever! Food wasn’t bad….don’t plan on going back because of the pour fee!

This place is really good! We had the Cheese Curds, Guinness French Onion Soup, and Guiness Stew. All were excellent, the kids also liked the Chicken Tenders and Pizza! Great spot to watch a game at or before attending an event at the All State.

Putting the “mid” in Midwest.

Nothing about this place is horrible but nothing was exceptional either.

The service was fine in that they took our orders, but that’s about it.

The food was fine. My burger was a burger. No great flavor to it. The kids meals were also fine.

I will say the draft list is slightly better than average.

The outdoor seating consists of a few tables out front and a back patio area. Be warned the tables in the back are wobbly and while they have umbrellas, based on the sun’s position half your table won’t be covered.

Overall just a meh experience.

We had an excellent experience at this venue. Wonderful staff, great food, excellent service and a very clean facility. My wife and I stopped by for lunch. The staff was very engaging and friendly. The service was great and the food was very good. I ordered the chicken wrap and my wife ordered the corned beef. We’ll be back soon!

I can’t say enough good things about The Harp and Fiddle – it’s hands down one of the best spots in for an authentic Irish pub experience with a modern twist. From the moment we walked in, the warm, inviting atmosphere wrapped us up like a cozy blanket on a chilly Chicago evening. The decor nails that perfect balance of rustic charm and lively energy, with wooden beams, flickering candles, and just the right amount of green accents to make you feel like you’ve stepped into a Dublin hideaway.
We started with the Harp-battered onion rings – crispy, golden perfection dipped in a tangy house sauce that had us fighting over the last one. For mains, the fish and chips were a standout: flaky Atlantic cod in that signature batter, served with thick-cut fries and a side of mushy peas that transported me straight back to my last trip to Ireland. My partner raved about the chicken piccata, with its bright lemon-garlic sauce over tender spinach – fresh, flavorful, and not a heavy bite in sight. Portions are generous, prices are fair (entrees around $18-25), and everything arrived piping hot and beautifully plated.
Service was top-notch; our server, Eileen, was a delight – attentive without hovering, with spot-on recommendations for the wine list and a smile that lit up the room. And let’s talk drinks: the mead cocktail was a sweet revelation, and the perfectly poured Guinness? Chef’s kiss. We even caught some live Irish music on a Friday night, which turned our dinner into an impromptu sing-along.
Whether you’re grabbing a casual bite with friends, celebrating a special occasion, or just craving comfort food that hits all the notes, The Harp and Fiddle delivers every time. We’ve already booked our next visit for a private event in their Snug room. If you’re in Park Ridge, do yourself a favor and go – you won’t regret it. Sláinte!
(Pro tip: Reserve ahead for weekends – it’s that popular for a reason.)I
