Old Southern BBQ Smokehouse is a quick-serve neighborhood BBQ Joint! All of our meats are smoked fresh daily, sauces, sides, and everything in between are made from scratch and served fresh. When you walk in, you’ll be greeted by the sweet smell of hickory smoked meats, cut fresh to order. Add a side (or two) and a cornbread muffin top to complete your meal. BBQ Platters, sandwiches, tacos and our legendary bowl can all be customized to suit your likes. No waiting for tables or service here, simple walk in and place your order. I’ll start by saying I got the chicken wings and they were some of the best I’ve ever tasted. I also got a hot link and it was fantastic. Admittedly it was so good I bought some of their spices and the Dixie Red BBQ sauce. My wife got the bbq platter and some sides. My favorite side was the creamed corn. Only complaint is they don’t have fries. If I lived closer I’d frequent this place.

This place is good! Food was amazing! Very different from Famous Dave’s so don’t expect it to be similar. The muffins tops were favorite! My husband loved the Mild and Tango bbq sauce. Coleslaw was a little dry but sill good! We got the Hog wild sandwich and sliced brisket sandwich! I give it a 9/10!

If you’re looking for legit BBQ, Old Southern BBQ Smokehouse is it! The food is absolutely fabulous. The brisket and Texas hot links are to DIE for — so good that I had to order a half pound of brisket and another Texas hot link to-go because I wasn’t ready to stop eating it.
We ordered the “Que for Two,” and it was great! The only thing missing was brisket (just a heads up — it doesn’t come with that combo), but adding it separately was 100% worth it.
The staff was super friendly, and as a Texas girl, I definitely approve! And let me just say… the Southern Gal barbecue sauce? Incredible.
We’ll absolutely be back and the staff was absolutely wonderful! Those sweet guy that took our order and the sweet girl that packed our order were both extremely welcoming!

As a southerner born and raised this is NOT “southern” barbecue. Ordered on line. The service was fine didn’t have too big of an interaction. Que for 2 was lacking flavor and appropriate portions. My partner and I had to make rice when we got home just to have a full meal. Cornbread tasted like they spilled soap in it. Muffin tops are a great choice but no southern bbq spot serves muffins tops as the default for cornbread. Sides were mid but the overall best part of the meal. And to top it all off, NO SAUCE IN SIGHT.

Didn’t look like anything special even when we got the food but it was so good! I expected to prefer the sweet brown sugar sauce but the rich and smokey won me over. The beans were very good as well. Lemonade was also very good. Not too sweet or sour. I usually come to this area to meet my husband at Pancheros for lunch and never noticed this place so I’ll have to make sure to come more often. Thank you!

Food was amazing! Loved how they provide the different BBQ sauces on the table with a full roll of paper towel as eating BBQ can get dirty. You will have to order sides separately.

We’ve been here twice before with better results. They weren’t busy so there was no excuse for the dreadful plating. The silverware was covered in sauce and the muffin top was soaked. The meal used to come with two sides and they reduced it to one. One of the photos was from 8-15 and the other was 7-15. We won’t be returning.

Build your own bowl is satisfying. Brisket is exceptionally good – moist, tender and flavored so well that no sauce is needed! To do it again, I’d ask for the Jimmy beans to be drained a bit to avoid so much of their sauce in the bowl. Atmosphere is a bit echo-ey with all the hard surfaces and even the low tables are on the high side for folks under 5’10” – you’re wishing for an adult booster seat. Counter ordering and excellent service for the rest.
