This is a great beachside bar and Mexican restaurant, but the menu was a bit misleading. Their menu had a whole section dedicated to their signature margaritas, but there isn’t a price in sight. I got a strawberry margarita which was a whopping $30, or half of my bill. I could’ve guessed the margaritas would be expensive, but it would’ve been nice to know for sure, and maybe gone with a cheaper option. Nonetheless, the chicken quesadilla was really good, the location is amazing, the service was solid, and the margarita was delicious (as it should be for $30 lol).

Cool mexican bar with great views of the Balboa pier area in Newport. Drinks are average but you are there for the location, prime people viewing, and cool ocean breezes. They offer 2 for 1 drinks at happy hour but not on holiday weekends. Never had the food so can’t comment. Love the cool murals on the walls.

So… this was fun! They had a triple margarita that was 32 oz for around $20 also we enjoyed the taco salad it was amazing. The staff was attentive and food came out fast. We totally enjoyed a quick lunch and the day was beautiful!!! New port beach is clean and gorgeous! Restaurant is a short walk from the beach and paid parking lot.

Lively atmosphere with the best large margaritas ! We went on a Sunday and the restaurant was quite loud showing many of the football games. The margarita’s were delicious and worth every penny. No one in our group was disappointed by the food.

So glad Cabo Cantina is still here ❤️ We come down every year for our annual family get-together during the Newport Beach Boat Parade, and this place never disappoints. Walking in feels like stepping into a time capsule — instantly like being back in Cabo. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are spot on, and our kids truly love it. Right in front of Balboa Pier and next to world-class skimboarding contest, home of The Vic and Exile Oktoberfest — it’s as close as you can get to Cabo without leaving Newport. A tradition we’ll always come back to.

Beginning to end was great. Ordered the asada/steak fries, and wow . Best we’ve had so far. Their steak fries, nachos cheese, soft steak, and questions fresco topped on top made it all very impressive. Margaritas were also top notch. Super fast amd quality service by the servers and gentleman at the bar.

This place was amazing! The service was absolutely incredible! The waitress had such good energy, very upbeat, social, and friendly. The atmosphere was already really great, but she made the atmosphere even more amazing! I believe her name is Courtney according to the receipt. She should be promoted! Cabo is very lucky to have her! The food was incredible, very delicious and the DRINKS were bombbbbb! Love their super large margaritas and they have a lot of fun flavors to choose from! Great prices! If I was a local I would visit this spot all frequently!
