Wow! – What can I say to do La Pineta justice. We had 10 people in total but we booked 2 tables of 5 each for lunch as some in our party would not be able to eat a full tasting menu. The restaurant is what everyone describes as a beach restaurant – fairly modest and not pretentious considering the quality of the food on the menu. The food was incredibly fresh with everything coming from the local waters (except the oysters which are French). You really could taste the ocean in every dish and if you are particular about the quality and cooking of seafood this place will not disappoint. As described in some of the professional reviews of La Pineta the approach to seafood here does tend to have some Japanese type touches with the raw treatments being on par with great sashimi you would have in Japan. The two brothers who own it are charming ad friendly and you wish you could be a local and have this restaurant as one of your go to restaurants in your neighborhood. I would come back again and again if we didn’t live so far away!

I gave 4 stars because even though we reserved the 80€ menu they charged us 90€/person, and it’s not fair.
The rest was great, view at the sea, staff very very polite, food, coffee and wine very good!

We used to go here when I was still a child but stopped because it became problematic to get a table even with reservation because it became a „celebrity restaurant“ and those guest were preferred to normal people previously. Now after many years in 2023 we decided to give it another chance, which was a good idea because this issue doesn’t exist anymore. Now you can get a reservation, no problem. We ate the middle priced menu for 3 and it was delicious. Beautifully presented and the servers were polite and attentive. The view of the beach right in front is amazing. You can park in front of the restaurant or a bit away but still reachable by foot easily. Even though it’s a bit on the expensive side for more special occasions like holiday or so it’s worth it. Would visit again.

Cinque stelle, como sempre. Since long before our first visit in 2013, Famiglia Zazzeri and team have been serving sublime seafood in this beachfront, Michelin starred location. Difficult to choose between the long, lazy lunches and elegant, sunset dinners but thankfully you can again, post-covid, enjoy both. A very deep and extensive wine list, and Andrea will always suggest something new, local and under the radar. His brother is now firmly in control of the kitchen, and even when things are rocking out front, he still makes time to greet the guests, a true professional, in the family tradition.

Wonderful meal by the sea. Completely lived up to expectations. One of the finest seafood restaurants we’ve ever experienced. Very deep and fairly priced wine list as well. A must if you are in Bolgheri or Bibbona.
