I haven’t been here in a very long time. I ordered the Frogmore stew, which was good except the corn. But I know it’s off season. Dakota, the bartender was awesome and very attentive. She made the best mocktail I ever had! I will definitely return to try other dishes.

We saw on Facebook that this place had a famous Frogmore stew! However, on this vacation we had far to much to eat at our stops. We did split an app and chose the gator bites. Although it wasn’t my cup of tea, it was nicely fried and not greasy.

This was our first time dining at the Foolish Frog and it was amazing! Our brunch was crab cakes on an English muffin topped with pouched egg covered in hollandaise sauce with cheese grits! Our waitress was attentive and always had a smile. The marsh view on a rainy day was amazing as well!

Traveling home after a weekend trip to Hunting Island. We stopped for lunch at the Foolish Frog. I haven’t had frog legs for over 20 years, so the frog leg appetizer was greatly enjoyed. Thin, crispy batter and tasty sauce. The food and the service were great. Dakota is a great waitress, and she made our stop even more enjoyable with her friendly personality and prompt service! Thank you, Dakota!

Great back porch. Brought water boles out for our dogs right away. Recommended the mahi tacos and fried green tomatoes. It was so good we didn’t even have time to get a photo. The view was very enjoyable.

We had lunch there on Valentine’s Day and despite being crowded the service was great. The appetizer, seafood yum yum ya ya, a combination of a fried grits patty with crawfish andouille sausage, shrimp and garlic was amazing. We both got fried oysters, fresh and plentiful. The Bloody Mary was spicy & potent! Can’t review the dessert we were too full!

We had dinner here right when they opened back up at 4:30. We had just been sightseeing on the islands and the employee working at Hunters Island Nature Center highly recommended Foolish Frog. We were a little early when we drove by so went to get gas and stopped at Publix before heading back. A couple other restaurants were recommended but we really wanted to try Foolish Frog. We were not disappointed. Our server was Nelly and she was wonderful. Very personable and attentive. Told us all about the menu and answered our questions. We ordered the Cajun Pasta and the Fried Shrimp platter with sweet potato fries and the zucchini and squash melody. Everything was delicious. My husband said the pasta was the best he’s ever had. We also had garlic bread with our meal and that was very good as well. We had a beer while waiting for our food which came out quickly. We are so happy to have found the Foolish Frog and will definitely dine here again when we are back in the area. Thank you for good food and a wonderful experience.

We ate here our last night of vacation, and it was by far the best meal and service we had. We tried the drink special and a few other drinks- all absolutely outstanding. Best cocktails around.
Our waitress, Dakota, was very personable, made great recommendations, and was a pleasure to speak with.
My husband and I both had the filet with crab cake addition- it was the absolutely best steak I have ever had. I actually said I hate I loved it so much, because I love seafood and I’m going to want to come here every beach vacation for steak now!
My sister had snow crab leg boil- very generous portions and delicious- and her fiancé had a ribeye. All glowing 11/10 ⭐️ reviews.
A few other points I really valued as a customer- the manager opened the door for us when we arrived to let us in (as I said, very personable service), and he personally vouched that all food would be prepared in careful regard to my allergy. I had no doubts and felt very comfortable! Eating with an allergy can be so cumbersome, but the entire kitchen and wait staff took it very seriously, but it never hindered me from having a top-notch meal.
This experience was the best dining we have had while on vacation, from top to bottom. Cannot recommend enough!
