At our Alcoa, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I would like I ke to share a review on Ashley at the alcoa, tn location. She is extraordinary individual. She works the window and front counter. She is always smiling and greeting you with a pleasant attitude. She is kind and courteous. I come through the drive thru. As she taking your money she will suggest ideas to make your meal a better order. She always make sure your food is fresh and checks yo see the order is correct. If I could give her a grade out of 10. It would be most definitely 10. I appreciate great service. She should be reward woth a raise for making Captian D’s organization shine. Way to go Ashley. Keep up the fantastic job you are doing and God will reward you for being the character you are on your job. May God bless you in all you do.

Ok so the building and location is a little rough BUT DUDE I ordered online just to give this a shot and the place is incredible haha honestly. The food was cooked well and hot, ready when I got there, an older gentleman brought it out to me it was maybe 30 minutes ago @ 3:30pm super cool guy double checked my order the whole 9. Excellent work to this team here tonight you all are doing fantastic.

Went in for dinner after work today. Drove all the way to the airport only to find out they didn’t have lobster bites. They sent a coupon flyer to the house all about the lobster bites. That started the whole experience with disappointment. Our food came out immediately after we sat down which leads me to believe it was just sitting back there. I got chicken strips which were cold. The worst mac & cheese I ever had. The only thing good was the hush puppies and the coleslaw. The fries are average, nothing special. The fish was way better than the chicken but again nothing special. We dined in and the restaurant was filthy. We were really turned off eating in the dining room. We didn’t want our daughter touching anything. The bathroom was pretty frightening as well. All in all it wasn’t a great experience and I’d have a hard time recommending this place. We were definitely disappointed and wanted it to be good. Unfortunately this was not the case.

Their food is great! You can tell the fry oil gets changed regularly too. The staff is friendly and the location is well insulated and quiet even though it’s 50ft off the highway. My only quam is every time I’ve been to this location the fries have been so sad. Cold and soggy even when all the other fried food is hot crispy and delicious. Its consistent enough to knock a star. LJS wishes they were half as good as this captain Ds

This place looks like it’s homeless, it’s need some refreshing from the outside in. The inside makes me think the kitchen must be dirty too. The service and the people were very pleasant and the food was fresh and delicious but this homeless looking building will make you rethink where one eats. Bottom line: it looks nasty inside and smells like it needs cleaning (proper). The outside looks like it doesn’t belong along the busy highway. Don’t go for the atmosphere!!!

The lady running the shift tonight was great. The store was pretty busy especially the drive thru but it was running great. Inside was clean and she even checked on tables etc. Good help is hard to find she should be commended!

Captain D’s is a nice cozy little restaurant. The booths and the inside seating very nice. I love the colors. Plenty of parking. The staff is very nice. But it is not clean here! The tables and chairs are sticky. There is food spilt on the floor! Your feet stick to the floors! And the men’s room is not clean!
