Jan‑YUM‑ary Day 2: Nachomamas – Manchester
Nachomamas came out swinging today.
I started with the cheese nachos rocking that super‑supreme blend — the kind that makes you pause mid‑bite like “oh… they didn’t have to go that hard.”
Then the enchilada hit me with a wave of nostalgia so strong I almost drove to the nearest Taco Tico just to stand in the parking lot and reflect on life.
The tacos weren’t my personal MVP, but they had personality — like that cousin who shows up overdressed to the cookout. Not your fave, but you respect the commitment.
And listen… I had big plans for those leftovers. Olympic‑level plans. But outside the liquor store, a dude asked if I had anything to help him get something to eat. So the bag went to him instead.
Honestly, I hope he tore into that enchilada like it owed him money.

I Used to come here for lunch all the time when I worked nearby. I bragged so much about this place then that my husband wanted to go today on his birthday. We drove an hour to get there and so disappointed. When the establishment is “Nacho Mama’s” you would expect great nachos! We got a plate full of chips, shredded cheese microwaved on top, and maybe 5 slices of chicken. We tried to jazz it up ourselves and took things from the “chalupa” on my husbands Tex platter that was a tostada and some onions and jalapeños from the free add on things and even then it was 80% chips to 20% toppings. There was only two other couples there who already had their food and it still took at least 15 minutes to get our food. Total bill was over $50 for food I could make better at home.

SKIP THIS PLACE. Literally go anywhere else. The food is disgusting.. me and my husband got the steak quesadillas and the meat was sweet like sugar who eats a sweet quesadilla???? The beans looked a week old and the rice was undercooked and had a pound of pepper
Neither of my kids would eat it because it was spicy so when I informed the man at the register he said they had new people and proceeded to charge me for another kids mean chicken tenders. I had no choice bc my kids needed to eat.
The beans looked chalupa has the same nasty beans but was piled high with purple cabbage who outs cabbage on a chalupa
The only thing good was the queso.
Only thing decent was the manager gave us our money back for most of it since we didn’t eat it.
Not sure how this place is even in business

Food was good overall. I tried the Mex Plate and the enchilada was fantastic. Rice was mid, tasted like a generic store bought brand. However, the food was a bit expensive, 18.91 for an entre and some sides.

I would give it zero stars if I could. The lady with pink hair that took our order was rude and the food literally tastes musty. Im not a picky person by any means and I was also starving and I couldnt even eat this. The food literally tastes like the color grey. It was cold and wet and not in a way that food should be wet and had almost no flavor to it. It was also 29 dollars for a small bag of chips and 5 tacos which is literally insane for some musty tacos on a paper plate.

Nachomama’s is a key cornerstone of the area and when it is focused delivers some of the bright, cleanest and most fun and relaxing Mexican in an area rich and full of good to middling Mexican. There are times when the fresh salsa or food isn’t as bright and crisp as it normally is but that is less often in the recent year. Nachomama’s is a key place to get a meal, enjoy their margarita and sit outside and relax with a fun conversation.
If every Mexican location has as much flavor and fun per square foot St. Louis would be a destination stop for Mexican North of Dallas.

Hadn’t been in for quite a few years and brought my kids by for lunch.
Ordered the exact same thing I’ve purchased for 20 years, though the name is now different. Chicken nachos grande. Kids got chips and cheese and chicken fingers with rice.
Bill came out to $38 (I had to get a drink, kids had theirs included).
What I got for the price I wasn’t thrilled. The chips with cheese were just tortilla chips with some Colby jack sprinkled on. That’s on me for assuming it would be more but for $6 including a drink that’s an interesting price point. She did like it though so price is really my only issue.
Chicken fingers were good but the rice that came with it was pretty dry.
On to my meal. There couldn’t have been 10 strips of chicken on my nachos at all. Really no seasoning so to speak. Fortunately the salsa is still awesome so that definitely saved the day.
Been here many times and thus is an outlier. Will be back to try again.

Surprised that I haven’t paid this place a visit before! The service was fast and very friendly. The food was good and with decent sized portions. The menu is diverse and there are plenty of vegetarian options. Right now you can dine outside, inside, or go to the drive through. The ambience is very inviting with oldies music on the overhead speakers. Bathrooms were clean. This would also be a great place to bring kids. I will definitely return.

This is a cool place, with a nice atmosphere, especially if you manage to sit outside in their patio.
The food tasted good, but the plates were small. We ordered fajitas, and they were way smaller than average. We also ordered the enchiladas, which had very little filling and were dissapointing. Those 2 plates and 2 margaritas costed over $60.00, and we left the place hungry.

Tried the drive though tonight, per usual it was busy so I decided to not be lazy and go inside and order. The restaurant had 2 tables so I figured I made the right choice by ordering inside. Well the guy at the front said they were only taking dine in orders that they were backed up. What? So it makes a difference if u serve my food on a tray vs a Styrofoam container? I realize they are short staffed, but really? Do the people in the drive through know you’re only doing dine in? Lol. I should have ordered dine in then asked for a to go container. Love the food!
