But the highlight for me was the bhindi masala seriously, probably the best I’ve had in Ottawa. I’ve tried bhindi at quite a few places, but this one really stood out perfectly cooked, flavorful, and not oily at all.
We also had the paneer tikka masala, which was rich and tasty, and the stuffed vegetable paratha was amazing crispy, flavorful, and just done right. You can tell they put effort into every dish.
To drink, we tried their Aam Shirley Temple, and it was so refreshing! Sweet, tangy, and really well made a great twist on the classic.
Overall, the food was great, the staff was friendly, and the whole vibe of the place was warm and welcoming. Definitely going back soon!
My personal favorite, and the top dish for me, is the chicken tikka masala. The taste is ultimately delicious—perfect spices, great texture, and very well balanced. This is one dish I always look forward to here.
Overall, I love this restaurant—the food, the taste, the menu, the staff, and the vibe. Everything feels well thought out. Definitely one of my favorite places, and I’ll keep coming back.
A big thank you to the chef, who is incredibly kind, cooperative and talented. The staff are also very welcoming and friendly, making the whole dining experience even better.
If you love real Indian flavors, this place is a must visit.
Yum Yum
We’ve been eating here for years as we lived super close, usually doing a pick up.
Today, we ordered with Uber Eats. The food was horrible.
The mixed grill’s portions have changed. They used to offer 2 pieces of fish, 2 pieces of shrimp and now it’s one of each? The mixed grill had portions that were burnt, like the tandoori chicken and shrimp. The chicken and shrimp were cold, where the other pieces were warmer.
The naan was also burnt. The fish tikka was soggy and cold.
We called the restaurant and they asked if we’d like a new mixed grill or a refund. We said refund. The line disconnected for some reason and another person called us back.
That person was defensive about the food, and said that the portions hadn’t changed but the menu had (the items we ordered have been the same for years both in person and in-app).
Ultimately, although we did get a refund for the mixed grill, we will not order takeout from them again. Very disappointing.
We ordered paneer manchurian , Daal makhani , 2 garlic naan and one cheese naan .
Paneer machurian was full of oil , even the server agreed and said we can replace it . When we asked to replace- they said we can give you a discount.
The quantity of daal was super less .
We asked the server will the cheese naan have cheese cream or paneer , he answered paneer . We ordered and the outcome was cheese cream .
Then we ordered vinegar onions , till the time they came on table our food was finished. Not a good experience.
A wonderful late afternoon meal.
$33/person, no drinks, which was a
pleasant surprise.
