Good diner food and quick, friendly service. The Korean chicken salad was excellent. Crispy, flavorful chicken with a bit of spice on cool, fresh salad. The spagetti was fine, the fried chicken good. The mashed potatoes were supposed fresh, but tasted more like instant.

Zippy’s Kaneohe – Local Comfort Food With Island Vibes

Zippy’s Kaneohe brings that classic, cozy Hawai‘i comfort-food energy ✨. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or grabbing your go-to plate lunch, the food hits the spot in that nostalgic, feel-good way.

The Zip Min saimin, Korean fried chicken, and their legendary chili are standout favorites ️. The staff keeps things warm and welcoming, and the location has that laid-back, come-as-you-are atmosphere that makes Zippy’s a true local staple .

If there’s one small downside, it’s that some items can be a tad pricier than other local spots — but the convenience, flavors, and comfort-food goodness totally make up for it.

Overall: A reliable, feel-good stop for anyone craving iconic Hawai‘i flavors with friendly service and chill vibes .

Not a stranger to Zippys, but this location in particular is one of my favorites. The service and atmosphere are so homey and welcoming. The food always comes fast and fresh delivered with a friendly face and helpful attitude. My go-to order lately has been the chicken trio plate, can’t go wrong. Essentially three kinds of fried chicken served with some sauces and choices of sides. Very filling, crispy juicy chicken left me so satisfied until my next meal, I know I won’t leave at all hungry with this choice!

These folks are wonderful. I have severe allergies and the server worked diligently to ensure my safety. If she would do this for me, just imagine how hard they work daily to ensure everyone’s health and happiness in the food they prepare.

I liked the idea of trying food from a local Hawaiian chain, so I had to check out Zippys. I made sure to grab the famous Zip Pac. I liked the variety. It’s like a Hawaiian lunchbox surprise with every bite. Definitely worth the stop.

During my recent visit to Zippy’s Kaneohe, I embarked on a culinary journey that showcased the restaurant’s diverse menu and attentive service. Eager to experience the flavors of the Hawaiian cuisine, I initially planned to indulge in a classic breakfast featuring waffles with strawberries and whipped cream, accompanied by a steaming cup of hot chocolate. However, I was informed that both the hot chocolate and strawberries with whipped cream were unavailable at the time. Though initially disappointed, the accommodating staff quickly provided alternative breakfast options and suggested some enticing lunch specials.

Opting for a change of plans, I decided to explore the lunch offerings instead. I settled on a clubhouse sandwich paired with fries and Portuguese soup. This hearty combination promised to satisfy my appetite and provide a taste of the local flavors.

As I waited for my meal, I couldn’t help but admire the inviting ambiance of Zippy’s Kaneohe. The restaurant exuded a cozy vibe, with comfortable seating arrangements and tasteful decor. The staff continued to impress with their attentive service, ensuring that I felt welcomed and valued as a customer.

When my order arrived, I was delighted by the presentation and aroma of the food. The clubhouse sandwich was a towering masterpiece, featuring layers of roasted turkey, crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, juicy tomato, and creamy mayonnaise, all sandwiched between slices of toasted bread. The accompanying fries were golden and crispy, perfectly complementing the savory flavors of the sandwich.

The Portuguese soup, a local favorite known for its rich and flavorful broth, exceeded my expectations. Packed with tender chunks of meat, hearty vegetables, and fragrant spices, it was a comforting delight that warmed both body and soul.

With each bite, I savored the harmonious blend of textures and flavors, from the crunchy bacon to the tender turkey and the hearty broth of the soup. The meal was a true celebration of Hawaiian cuisine, showcasing the diverse culinary influences that make it so unique.

Throughout the dining experience, the exemplary service continued to shine. The staff were attentive and accommodating, ensuring that my meal was enjoyable from start to finish. Despite the initial hiccup with the unavailable breakfast items, Zippy’s Kaneohe proved to be a culinary gem, offering delicious food and top-notch service that left a lasting impression.

In conclusion, my experience at Zippy’s Kaneohe was a memorable one. From the warm ambiance to the delectable food and attentive service, it was a true delight for the senses. Whether you’re craving a classic breakfast or a flavorful lunch, Zippy’s Kaneohe is sure to deliver a dining experience that exceeds expectations. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to indulge in the flavors of Hawaii.

Over easy eggs were way overcooked, and both eggs together were the size of one. Corned Beef Hash was room temperature in the middle. French toast was really good, and so was the service. I was visiting with my firstborn, who had just moved to the Kaneohe side, so I was just happy to spend time with them and didn’t bother bringing attention to the food. Must’ve caught em on an off day.

Came here for a quick lunch before going to the sandbar after it was mentioned to us by our Uber driver. He said it’s not something to rave about, just a regional chain, but we thought it sounded cool!

We thought it was interesting that this spot had half of a quick dining area and a sit-down area. The cashiers were super duper friendly.

Saimin – This was inexpensive and quite filling! It had a good amount of noodles and the piping hot broth came separately. The fish cake and char siu were tasty. Since it seemed little, I added a chicken katsu. The cashier said she made sure to put it separately so the chicks stayed crispy.

Chicken katsu – My stand-alone katsu was around $5-6 but turning it into its own combo meal with rice and mac salad is the way to go. My friend got 3 pieces for $12. We expected a dense, greasy fried food but it was actually very light and thin! It was a lot better than I expected. Its accompanying sauce is more sour than other katsu places I’ve tried. We were dying for vegetables at this point so I ate all the cabbage underneath lol.

Korean fried chicken – This was delicious! The boneless pieces don’t come in medium-sized chunks. I liked their crunch.

Loco moco – This was hot, flavorful, and honestly tasted better than some other places I’ve tried. The egg was fried perfectly.

I wish I tried the oxtail soup but it’s pretty pricey. Zippy’s fulfilled our needs before our long boat trip!

We honestly went once a week, every week of September. They’re also affordable for us. My favorite is Zip min w/ double garnish.
