Fabulous staff. Fabulous food. Fabulous environment! I love coming here. Very authentic food made with care and shared with smiles. Food and drinks are delicious here. What a great place to spend time with friends, family, or self care! I love the tacos with corn tortilla, rice, and beans. The chips and salsa add the crunch. The fresh guacamole prepared at your table is amazing!

The life of the party is at El Jimador. The atmosphere is great! The food never disappoints. The drinks are amazing. When I want to go out and have a quality Mexican style meal. This is my go to. Only issue I’ve ever had is service could be better. Sometimes it takes a little too long to get your server to come back to your table. Especially when they are packed and when the drinks are flowing. It’s sometimes annoying. But besides that. Hard to beat the food and atmosphere alone. Prepare to spend though as it is by far not the cheapest option but, you get what you pay for.

Chips and salsa-perfect! I ordered a spicy cucumber margarita-tasted great but paid $12 for a SHORT glass. Pork tacos were bland and could only taste the pickled onions and lime. There was no “taco salsa” offered, which could have given it the kick it needed, so I added salt. Whoever made the rice and beans was heavy-handed on the salt. The carne aside inside the burrito tasted steamed/boiled, no seasoning, and didn’t have the Asada/grilled flavor. Dessert and service were ok.

Really good food. The service was very attentive without being off-putting. I prefer dining in the upper level since the lower level is very loud. There are 3 tables outside and they fill up quickly. Like most Mexican restaurants they bring chips and salsa. The salsa was really good with a little heat. The chips were fine – nothing remarkable about those. My tacos came with a salsa that reminded me of Adobe that was a little sweet and a little spicy. It was very good.

Went with a group of six. We were all disappointed with the food. Asada too tough.”Homemade “ tortillas were not homemade. Very tough and oily. Crispy tacos were Taco Bell shells. Flan was hard and no taste. Only thing with good taste was the rice. We are all from out of town. Went there expecting really good Mexican food and left very disappointed. No plans to return.

Outstanding service and food. We went on a busy Saturday (worth the short wait) and are still talking about our experience the following week. The burritos are platter sized and loaded with tender, flavorful shredded chicken. We never had an empty basket of chips thanks to how friendly and attentive all the servers are there. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Visiting from out if town and tried this place out. Overall pretty good but not everything was excellent. I wouldn’t really come back for the DeKalb quesadilla but the guac/chips, and fajitas were good. Margaritas were not the best I’ve had but still good as well. Great presentation of food overall and service was quick and polite.
