I visited the Wendy’s location at 2415 N Chester St. in Gastonia, NC on November 3, 2025, around 11:41 p.m. and was extremely disappointed with the service I received through the drive-thru. The associate, a mixed gentleman with long hair, greeted me with a noticeable attitude from the start. As I asked questions about my order, his demeanor only worsened.

When I requested honey mustard sauce for my burger, he responded defensively, stating that no sauce comes with the burger. A female colleague intervened, politely informing me about the extra cost for sauce, which I was happy to pay.

However, when I arrived at the window to collect my order, the same associate was still visibly upset. After a brief exchange about my order, he threw my debit card back at me through the window, cutting my lip slightly. He then walked away, leaving me shocked and hurt.

This behavior was unacceptable and clearly intentional. I felt disrespected and decided not to pursue the matter further at that moment. I visited another Wendy’s location (Carowinds Blvd), where the service was exceptional.

It’s disappointing that an employee with such a demeanor is allowed to interact with customers. I am filing a police report and hope that management takes necessary actions to address this incident. Customers deserve respect and professionalism, regardless of the situation.

Recommendation: I would suggest that the management of this Wendy’s location takes immediate action to address the behavior of this associate and provides training on customer service and conflict resolution. Additionally, it would be beneficial to have a system in place for customers to report incidents like this, ensuring that similar situations are prevented in the future.

Something is wrong with this location. The workers have an attitude problem. They clearly don’t want to be there, and they would prefer that the customers not be there either. They’re more interested in playing on the phones, made no effort to appear To care that someone had walked in. I left instead of taking a risk on eating their slop. The workers are undermining this place.

Manager refused to serve, told me to drive around and then just took out the trash and told me outside to get out of the drive through because of his times. Said the system is down and can’t make any food. Was wearing a dirty green jacket and just an awful person. I can see why he is stuck working at this job with that kind of attitude towards people.

Went in to dine in at 8:40 pm and was told to order thur the drive thur apparently the dinning area is closed. It clearly says on the door of the store saying that the dinning area is closed at 10 pm. Asked to go to the bathroom and came out they were taking someone’s order. They were so rude and unpleasant.

They need to take this sign down. The service is anything but quality. I waited in line for 45 minutes(including being at the window for 20), just to be told my food was nowhere near done. Seriously, what the heck are yall even doing back there if you’re not making food? I asked the manager to cancel but he said I would have to call customer service. I left anyway. I wouldnt be surprised if this location had the worst sales in the whole country. It’s consistently bad and this is my last time giving them a chance. They need to fire everyone and hire new ppl.

Terrible. No other cars in the drive through, ordered quickly didn’t receive a receipt & they had the nerve to give me a sandwich that has clearly been sitting the cheese was HARD as if it had been reheated more than once AND left to sit out. I’m 14 weeks pregnant I can’t imagine what I would have felt like if I would have eaten this mess. I will be going back that’s ridiculous. Should’ve went to the other Wendy’s per usual where my food is always FRESH but I didn’t because it’s further from home. My mistake I guess.

Pretty clear why Wendy’s is going out of business. Went to drive through. We and the car behind us gave up after 5 minutes of waiting with no response. Had the same issue at another location. Bad service.
