Our server was named Hannah and she did an exceptional job caring for us. I eat a lot of Japanese food and this place really hit the mark of what it means to be a good Japanese restaurant. I got the spicy miso ramen and I am still thinking about it. The spicy edamame was one of the best that I have ever had. Everyone enjoyed their rolls and the taste was awesome. I’d totally come back when I’m visiting Raleigh.

10/10 Definitely recommend! Andrew was a wonderful waiter and was very helpful with a couple of clarifications and recommendations. The food and cocktails were delicious and the vibes were nice and chill. Definitely recommend the Yuzu Cheesecake!

We absolutely love Sono! I came here for my birthday dinner and it was so fun and so so delicious. I love that they use real crab in the rolls. The poke roll and shrimp appetizer were my favorite. Our servers name was Clay and he was so attentive and made the experience very memorable. Also the manager on duty Marika is such a doll she helped us with the reservation and made sure we were all happy and did not leave us wanting for anything. Thank you Sono team we will definitely be back!

Cute atmosphere, great food, and friendly service. Exactly what a downtown Japanese restaurant should be. Good lunch specials even if a little pricey. Fun to try the sake flight!

Food is the best. Service can be improved as one person taking care of tooooooo many table, makes service little slow.
Ok seating. However it does have a nice feel to be there.

stopped in on a late monday, around 8PM. the ambience was beautiful, inside was quiet, low lighting, extremely relaxing and comfortable. service was very attentive, kind, and fast. However, I feel the food fell flat for me. My miso soup was very salty, but it was still good enough to finish. As for the yakisoba noodles w/ chicken, they were so salty it was barely edible. I ordered the katsu curry, and was surprised that the chicken katsu was underseasoned at the rate of everything else having extra salt. The pickled ginger in the yakisoba was so salty and bitter it was 10x more salty than the already salted noodle dish on its own. Besides that, the sushi was good, very fresh tasting and not fishy. The spicy tuna was really refreshing and well balanced. I plan on coming back again to try more sushi one day, but because of the price point I only see myself coming here on special occasions or when I want the amazing ambience… theres lots of other sushi places in the triangle area that offer just as much variety and fresh sushi at a lesser cost.

The sushi is amazing! You can’t go wrong with anything you order, but the Screaming “O” is our favorite! Our server Danny was very helpful in giving recommendations.

Had a great experience walking in off the street after attending an art show. Was given a table with cushion seats to help with my back situation! Met the Manager who shared about the restaurant including some of her own sushi creations! I’ll be back for sure!!!
