After watching those Tigers put the shellac on Furman, 45-10, for Military Appreciation Day—a performance that had me yelling louder than a late-night QVC infomercial about a revolutionary mop—I knew my son and I needed to refuel. My heart was full of pride, but my stomach was emptier than a college student’s wallet on a Sunday morning. That’s why we navigated the post-game traffic like a pro-level navigator (I basically crushed that GPS challenge!) straight to Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen in Easley. This place is all about reliability!
Forget the complicated dining scene; what you need after witnessing that kind of Tiger dominance is food that delivers value and a crispy, spicy hug. The chicken here? It’s the MVP of the fast-food world. It’s got that high-quality, shatteringly crunchy crust, and the meat is juicier than the stories I tell about my college days. My son grabbed the chicken sandwich, which is a modern marvel of engineering—a thick, buttermilk-battered filet on a brioche bun. I went for the classic bone-in, because I’m a traditionalist, just like I insist on using a physical map sometimes. We paired it with those legendary Cajun fries and some Red Beans and Rice—a full Louisiana feast that cost less than a single parking pass near the stadium! It was a hilarious and delicious cap to a perfect day. High-quality photos of that golden-brown goodness are a must-share, showing readers the real prize of the day. It’s a place that gets the highest score for its consistently great food and ability to handle a post-game rush.
Stay spicy, my friends
There was 7 pc reg
Asked them to fix it before I left. The spicy looked burnt they insisted thats the way it supposed to look
They said it just came out it didn’t it was cold
Chicken is always juicy, well cooked, and never burnt. Mac and Cheese is my personal favorite.
Thank you to the employees and management here at this wonderful establishment.
I was out for the day and my family and I wanted to stop by Popeye’s of Easley and get a 12 piece family meal, eat a little something and then go home, I’ll be frank, is your business ok, are y’all closed, please tell me why if y’all open that we should be able to dine in the establishment but couldn’t because excuse my French but the damn lobby doors was locked, then we went to the drive thru and it was like over 20 minutes and got a very rude response talking about some, hold on a minute with a bad attitude and it was just not what I had in mind….
Y’all really need to do better, that place has become a disaster, nah, I’ll be honest, y’all need to go ahead and just shut down all together and just part ways with it because the place that was once a restaurant that had hospitality, they made the place what it used to be but I believe it has ran its course, just shut the store down and just walk always
Smh….
