Loved the intimate setting and the decor was very nice. The greeter (I think his name is Tony) and all staff was welcoming from the time we walked in and upon leaving. The brunch menu had a variety to choose from. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was delicious! Will be back again!

Went on Wednesday night had the drink special. The food is cooked to order but it didn’t take long. The Brussels sprouts were really good. The Philly cheese steak had more cheese and bread then steak, the flavor was good. Chips were bland. The apple Titos was good not too strong. The waitress was slow to assist us, I believe she was busy talking to coworkers since it wasn’t that busy. We had to ask someone else to help find her to close out our check. ♀️ ♀️

My 1st experience at Fumee’ was amazing. The occasion was celebrating a friend’s birthday. The waitress was nice and made sure all of our needs were taken care of. The waitress( I wish I would have remembered her name)gave the birthday lady a complementary shot which I thought was very generous of her. Larry(security guy) thanked us for coming. He was so sweet to me and my friends. We asked Larry if he could take our picture but because he had to do his job, he insist employee, Beth to take the picture. Beth was very friendly and was able to captured 2 great photos of me and my friends. I loved the atmosphere at Fumee and will be returning soon.

That said, credit where it’s due: the grilled shrimp were excellent—beautifully plated, thoughtfully seasoned, and cooked with precision. The smoked Old Fashioned was another standout. It was evident that a skilled mixologist was behind the bar; the balance, depth of flavor, and presentation reflected genuine craftsmanship.
Where the experience faltered was the atmosphere. The overall vibe felt oddly disjointed. Loud DJ music (uninspired at best) paired with poor acoustics made conversation difficult, while the hookah lounge element further muddied the identity of the space. What seemed to aim for upscale sophistication instead landed somewhere between nightclub, lounge, and restaurant—without fully succeeding at any of them. Add to that a security check at the door, which felt incongruous and raised more questions than reassurance.
In the end, this is a place with moments of excellence in food and drink, but an atmosphere that feels confused—an overpriced attempt at being bougie that ultimately misses the mark on true class.

I brought my family to Fumée and we had an absolute blast! Everything about this place was excellent — the food, the drinks, and even the hookah were on point.
The atmosphere is a total vibe. The DJ kept the energy flowing all night, and it really set the tone for a fun evening. It’s definitely the kind of spot I’d want to visit every time I’m in Charlotte.

Our server Akire C was super rude . 0/10 we sat at a regular table and she came to our table twice during our dine and then when I expressed my concerns she then caught an attitude. We ordered alcoholic drinks that too 20 minutes that I watched sit at the bar . We spoke to the manager who was super nice we went on 12/24 at like 9pm

The chicken biscuits and gravy was quite salty, but I let staff know to hopefully make changes to that. Strawberry margarita was nicely made and strong. Definitely overpriced as I was one person and 1 drink and entree came out to $45. Nice vibes inside, probably nice for a bday dinner rather than a quick solo brunch.

You never know who you’re serving -Absolutely outstanding experience! Linda truly made our visit unforgettable. She effortlessly took care of a group of over 30 people—serving everyone, making drinks, bussing her own tables, and still delivering a flawless 10/10 experience. Her multitasking skills, professionalism, and positive attitude were incredible to watch. Despite the volume and pace, she never missed a beat and made everyone feel taken care of. Service like this is rare, and Linda is a true asset to the restaurant. We will definitely be back because of her!

She’s managing both the bar and the patio and still making sure everyone is taken care of without missing a beat. Super friendly and hardworking—definitely made the experience even better.
