Stopped in for dinner; what a treat. The service was warm, attentive, and perfectly paced, and the atmosphere struck that ideal balance: lively yet comfortable.

The pork shank was outstanding—tender, fall-off-the-bone, with rich, savory flavors that felt slow-cooked to perfection.

The steak filet was equally impressive: deeply seasoned, seared with a gorgeous crust, and cooked exactly to temp. Juicy, and melt-in-your-mouth—everything you want from a top-tier filet.

I went here with some friends on a Friday evening. They market the best fish fry in town! We made a reservation about a week prior for 6:30 pm since their website says, “reservations recommended” and in Wisconsin, fish fry Fridays can be especially busy.
We arrived just before 6:30, checked in, and the hostess told us that it will be a little while before we are seated. After checking back in over the course of the next hour, we were seated at about 7:20 pm, 50 minutes after the reservation. They said that there were a lot of reservations and walk-ins. People walked out because they were tired of waiting, overall, a lot of irritation.

The wait staff was generally pleasant, albeit clearly quite stressed. The drink I got wasn’t great, it was the Sadie’s Sipper. It wasn’t a well balanced drink and tasted mostly like vodka. The goat cheese balls were good and thankfully quick. When the fish did finally arrive, my side was incorrect but quickly remedied. The food overall was ok. It was nothing special or memorable, it’s a very simple beer battered fish, no seasoning, so if that’s what you crave, you will be happy.

Overall, the experience took 2.5 hours when normally, with a reservation, I’d expect 1 hour, maybe 1.5 with a full restaurant.

My kind of place. Top notch food, casual atmosphere, great service. Excellent cocktails from Manhattans to side cars. Happened to go on Wednesday for half price wine (by chance), which was a bonus. Food was excellent on all counts. Fresh and tasty. Crab stuffed salmon was superb. As were the scallops. We were planning dessert, but word of our anniversary got out and we had a complimentary dessert. Plenty of parking. We would come back here for sure, it was a fantastic local restaurant.

We were seated in the basement which was fine, it’s just a completely different setting that upstairs. Our waitress was so kind and just did a wonderful job. I had read the reviews online and noticed one of the comments re pasta said, “too many peppers”. For some reason I assumed maybe that was for a special pasta dish that stated it came with vegetables mixed in. Nope, I was wrong. I ordered from the pasta section of the menu in which you choose from a few noodles and then four sauces. Nowhere does it mention that your pasta will be HALF vegetables(tomatoes, squash, zucchini, red and green peppers). It was such a huge turnoff as I did not want half of my pasta to be vegetables or I would have ordered a salad. I thought maybe that was their standard red sauce so I asked and was told that even if you order the alfredo sauce all of those vegetables are always included with the pasta. Frankly, I do not understand and would never have ordered that as I simply wanted pasta with sauce. Peppers have such a strong flavor profile. The prime rib was a very thick cut and really nice portion. I feel the pasta was completely misleading and that sets the tone for the restaurant for me.

We’ve been to Sandra’s many times and has always been great! Unfortunately this time things fell short and was a bit disappointing. We went with another couple for his 87th birthday to celebrate. Three people ordered steaks and I went with the perch fish fry which was fantastic. Two of the three ordered baked potatoes that were barely warm. My wife ordered haystack onions with her steak. Those came out on her plate as a soggy mess instead of crisp. After further examination she found frozen French fries in with the haystack onions. When our waiter came over and she mentioned it to him and actually handed him one of the frozen fries, he apologized and moved on. We never received a new order nor was it removed from our bill. Just my opinion but the waiter should have seen those didn’t look right and had a new order prepared. I certainly hope they do better when we decide to return

Food quality was very good for the price. Service was good and they have a nice dining room. Looks like they also have nice outdoor seating if you go when the weather is nice.

Good food, nice atmosphere! We had a reservation for 7:15 and didn’t get seated until around 7:35, not too big of a deal. Apparently they overbooked. Our server was a little rude from the start but I understood because it was quite busy. This was my first time dining somewhere a little nicer and we had asked our server very nicely how to leave a tip for him, he explained it to us in the most condescending and rude way, then proceeded to take our card and never came back with it. The host came up to us about 5 minutes later saying that he must’ve dropped our card and she just found it. She told the server what had happened and he came up to us, dropped the card on the table on a piece of food and said “here’s your card back.”

They had nice food but the service was not great.

I am very disappointed to be writing this review, as we were really looking forward to going to Sandra’s. We go to a lot of supper clubs and love trying new ones. But it was the absolute worst service we’ve ever experienced, supper club or otherwise.

I guess I’ll start at the beginning. We got waters from the hostess right away, and then we sat for about 10 minutes. Our server then came and took our drink orders, and came back with one drink. The other drink came about another 20 minutes later, so almost a half hour after we were seated. The server apologized that it took so long but the bartender was “slammed.” There were two people sitting at the bar.

On that note, it was a Sunday night and the restaurant was dead. Our server only had one other table the entire 2.5 hours we were there. When she hadn’t taken our food order in over a half hour, I started looking for her to catch her eye, but I noticed her other table was clearly very upset about something. So we gave her some slack, and thought “oh, that table is a bunch of jerks and the poor lady is trying to appease them.” Unfortunately 2 hours later, we knew better.

It took one hour 35 minutes to get our entrees. With almost no one else in the restaurant. The worst part was that when it was becoming uncomfortable with how long our food was, our server actively avoided us. When she walked into the dining room, she intentionally would not make eye contact with us. We waited an hour and 35 minutes with no explanation, no estimate, not even a refill on the bread basket. Once our food came, she told us that the order machine was apparently offline and our order never got sent to the kitchen. So after a half hour…45 minutes…an hour… she didn’t think to ask where the food for her ONLY table was?

We’re reasonable people. If there was an issue we would’ve patiently waited for the situation to be rectified. But we were simply ignored, to the point that we seriously considered throwing some cash on the table for the drinks and apps and going to Culver’s.

Also, the food was okay. Average for a supper club. But I have a feeling I would’ve enjoyed it more if what I was served was actually what I ordered.

Left another place who didn’t even acknowledge our presence to come here. Have been here a few times. No reservation so walked in, got in the no reservation line and sat at bar for a drink. 20min went by that’s fine… asked if we could order at bar and hey what ya know, it’s slowing a litttle and that’s an option. Fantastic bar tender who was busy but said it wasn’t a problem. Ordered up and waited, enjoying our drinks as we wait!

Love this place. Def will continue attending the establishment for our nights out.

Hubby and I were headed to another restaurant down the street but decided to try Sandra’s On The Park instead. We visited on a Saturday night and were seated right away. The restaurant was very charming and welcoming. Our waitress was EXCEPTIONAL and the food was delicious! I had a 6oz filet with a rack of ribs, soup, Parmesan grilled Vienna bread, mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Hubby’s dinner was Salmon with a mango relish, shrimp, soup, rice and veggie. We will definitely be back to try other items.
