We had an amazing time at Iron Age celebrating my friend’s birthday! It’s an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ, and everything was delicious. The steaks were tender and full of flavor, and their salad dressing was surprisingly addictive! Our server Jordan was super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable he really made the experience even better. Definitely recommend this place for a fun and tasty night out!

The service was awful. We were seated immediately and then immediately asked for our first meat selection. After we picked it, they immediately asked for our second, basically rushing us through the entire meat selection process. There were three of us, and when we were ready to pay, I went first and skipped the tip because we were planning to leave cash. The server then said, ‘You do know you skipped the tip, right?’ I didn’t acknowledge it because I didn’t hear her, but my friend told me afterward. So, we all paid, and one of my friends ended up adding a $20 tip on the machine since we weren’t leaving cash. As we were leaving, another guy who seemed like the manager asked if our service was good and if the server was good. At first, we said it was okay, but then he asked again if the service was good and if we ‘tipped.’ That threw us off because he was pressing us about only tipping $20, which basically means the server went to her manager because we only left her a $20 tip. Overall, very bad service. Not only that, but the portions were so small, and there were barely any sides. The place smelled like there was mold around the grill and didn’t look too good either. I do not recommend this place; they will press you for not tipping. CRAZY!!!

I would not recommend Iron Age to anyone.
The service was awful. Our waitress was very rude, had a terrible attitude, and made us feel rushed the entire time. We were a party of two and had been there for not even 30 minutes, yet she repeatedly brought up the 90-minute time limit (which is insane as is) and aggressively pressured us to order new meats every five minutes…even while the meat we had already ordered was still cooking. It completely ruined the experience. The music was insanely loud and I could hardly hear anything my friend was saying to me the entire night.
The food quality was even worse. Every meat we ordered was excessively fatty and low quality. To make matters worse, rice wasn’t even brought out until I had to ask for it after our first meat was already done cooking, which is basic and should be automatic at a Korean BBQ restaurant. The corn cheese dish was a joke: a tiny foil tray (maybe 3 inches wide) with a paper-thin layer of corn and barely any cheese. The portion was insulting for the price, and I’ll be including a photo because it’s honestly unbelievable!!
The side dishes were pathetic. Instead of the usual variety you get at Korean BBQ, we received maybe three small veggie sides, all with extremely small portions. We also ordered shrimp and were served only four pieces total to share between two people. Completely unacceptable for what we paid!!!!
Parking was another nightmare, given it was 6pm on a Saturday, it took me about 30 minutes just to find a spot in their small, poorly designed parking lot.
Between the rude service, constant rushing, low-quality food, laughably small portions, and terrible parking, this place is not worth your time or money. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else.

6/22/25 – Our server made the experience so great. Super informative on the food and how to cook it. Even suggesting which meats to cook together. He changed the grills out in perfect timing too. It is an all you can eat $32 but you tell the server what you would like to eat. There is a sign on the booths stating 90 mins max, but that didn’t seem pressured at all. The food was great! Love the sides and sauces. I really loved the salad. The beef bulgogi was also my favorite and super delicious. Would definitely come back.

I had a really disappointing experience today. From the moment we were seated, we felt rushed. We were immediately asked to choose our meats and then pressured to order more before the first round was even finished cooking. The server kept taking over the grill and making comments. My friend decided to cut one of the meats because that’s what he usually does and the server came over took over and said “We usually don’t cut this” and gave a rude stare.
The most uncomfortable part was how staff handled tipping. When we were paying, I left a $20 for the table because I thought after everything that was a good amount. Afterward, we were confronted and asked why we didn’t tip or why we “only” tipped a certain amount. It felt very aggressive and embarrassing to be questioned like that while walking out. Being pressured about tipping, especially when it’s not required for small parties, completely ruined the experience. I felt very hostile because we were stopped at the door and being pressured to answer.
Overall, the service, tipping pressure, and food quality made this a place I would not recommend.

Food was good. Service was good. The only issue I have with iron age. Is the grill. This makes me want to take a whole starr off the rating. The holes allows for parts of the meat drops down onto the flame. For one of the meats they have a different insert. That is the one they should use for all meats not the one with the giant holes.

We had a wonderful meal this evening. We were a party of 8 and most of us had never had korean bbq before. Jihyun was patient explaining the menu to us. She also helped the inexperienced members with the cooking and offered ideas on what meat we might enjoy. Lastly, she noticed my daughter had spilled on her shirt and brought her something to help remove a likely stain. She really went above and beyond for us. We did arrive before the dinner rush which is why she could be so attentive. We would love to return in the future.
The reason for less stars for atmoshpere was the music was just a little too loud for a large table. We could really only speak with the people immediatly next to us.

Came here with a friend who had never had KBBQ before. I am a big fan of Iron Age in DC so we thought to go to this location. Tee was our server and she was truly the best. Everything came out so quickly and she refilled things without us even having to ask, she was super prompt with our next order of meats, refilled sides as needed, and made our experience so good in addition to the already super super yummy food. Big thanks to Tee and would 10/10 always recommend this location over DC since dc tends to be super loud due to the music.

It was way too dark for a dinner at 5pm. I could barely see anything. They dimmed the lights for a party of 2 with barely any customers. I could barely make out my server from the others. Me and my boy felt afraid. 4 star experience. Could be 5 if the lights could go a little brighter.

We enjoyed our visit at this Iron Age location. The server was attentive and we got to try all the different meats. I think this AYCE is worth the cost.
