When you are in kalahari this is a good spot to stop by for dinner our server was very nice and approachable and so polite. I just dont remember his name but he was so polite. I appreciate it.
They have 2 names and we got confused but it was confired that they are the same place.
I enjoyed the takoyaki,
the short ribs were a little salty to taste,
My daughter enjoyed the udon soup
Shrimp tempura was ok, i enjoyed the fritters more
The shrimp shumai didnt taste fresh, tasted frozen
Chicken wings were ok
Price were reasonable and portions were acceptable.
My husband and I had beef dishes which both came in stone dishware. Oh my goodness, if you’ve never had a meal served in stone dishware, you must do it now. Their signature beef was very thin and flavorful and was served with tasty rice that got toasted on the piping hot stone bowl, similar to what you get with paella.
Kimchi is served with the meal and it was accompanied by a sweet fresh cabbage. It was amazing. See the photos to get a better idea of what the food looked like. It’s hard to describe because I’m not sure what else was in our bowls. Korean food is a bit new to me. We eat a lot of kimchi at home and this was excellent kimchi.
There are different parts to the menu, one part seems like it’s more like sushi and what you would expect with sushi, while the other part was what I imagine was the Korean food. You can have sushi anywhere, so my suggestion is to go ahead and get the Korean dishes that appeal to you. The server was very good about trying to help us understand what we were ordering.
The reason we did not give this restaurant five stars is the building. It is rather odd and worn. Well to be fair, the dining area was nice, especially with the beautiful gas fire that was warming the building up, was early afternoon on a winter day.
However, when you come in it’s a bit odd looking with a strange setup. But the worst part of it is if you go to the restroom down the hall, the walls are rather icky and the floor in the women’s bathroom look like they have not been mopped properly in a good while. The water, paper towels and soap in the men’s room did not work properly and it just made for a bad impression. We both had visited the bathrooms before eating and didn’t say anything to each other until a few hours later and we both were stunned how we had the same impression… Just kind of nasty in those bathrooms. Just use the restroom before you get there and you will no doubt love this place!
