The inside is clean, good lighting and has a nice open, sports bar feel. However, the bartender was way over taxed, making drinks for a packed bar and the tables. They needed another bartender to serve the tables.
The wait staff was overwhelmed as well. Our food took a long time to come out, and it was cold which means it was ready from the kitchen, but sat a while before the server got to it.
However, the food was good, of it were warm it probably would’ve been great. I really think they got slammed and were short staffed. I would consider going back, but I’d probably try them on a slow night to see if there is any improvement. For me alone I dropped 75 at the bar and 160 at my table. This was just for my food and drinks, with tax and tip.
After a disappointing experience tonight at another location, I decided to drive across town and give the Garners Ferry location a try — and I’m so glad I did.
Scott took my order and was amazing. He was friendly, attentive, and provided great customer service both on the phone and in person. He wasn’t even aware of my previous experience, yet he still made sure everything went smoothly. Cory prepared my food, and everything was hot, fresh, and delicious.
This visit completely turned things around for me. I’d definitely recommend this location to anyone — they were friendly, professional, and delivered a great experience from start to finish. Even though it was after 10 PM, the service felt like a 7 PM visit with attentive staff and freshly made food (pictured below, except the honey croissants-yummy!)
From the bartender who handed me my to-go order, to the young lady at the front who asked if I needed help, to Scott thanking me on my way out — the hospitality was consistent. As someone who works in Hilton Hospitality and digital marketing, I truly recognize and appreciate great service, and this was the epitome of it.
I’ll absolutely be back!
We were greeted with smiles and there was no wait (on a Friday around 5).
I enjoyed a salad and appreciate the option to build my salad since I have several food sensitivities/allergies.
