Had a great first time visit. I never got our waitress name. But she did an ok job. The only problem I had was that she was also assigned a large birthday group. I ordered the spinach/artichoke dip, that was tasty. My drink (strawberry lemon drop) was perfect! I was very pleased with it. I then had fish & chips as my entree and street corn. Loved it. I’ll definitely be going back.

Hickory Tavern is a nice casual dining experience. I will give them the benefit of the doubt, that maybe they had an off night on my visit.
The inside is clean, good lighting and has a nice open, sports bar feel. However, the bartender was way over taxed, making drinks for a packed bar and the tables. They needed another bartender to serve the tables.
The wait staff was overwhelmed as well. Our food took a long time to come out, and it was cold which means it was ready from the kitchen, but sat a while before the server got to it.
However, the food was good, of it were warm it probably would’ve been great. I really think they got slammed and were short staffed. I would consider going back, but I’d probably try them on a slow night to see if there is any improvement. For me alone I dropped 75 at the bar and 160 at my table. This was just for my food and drinks, with tax and tip.

After a disappointing experience tonight at another location, I decided to drive across town and give the Garners Ferry location a try — and I’m so glad I did.
Scott took my order and was amazing. He was friendly, attentive, and provided great customer service both on the phone and in person. He wasn’t even aware of my previous experience, yet he still made sure everything went smoothly. Cory prepared my food, and everything was hot, fresh, and delicious.
This visit completely turned things around for me. I’d definitely recommend this location to anyone — they were friendly, professional, and delivered a great experience from start to finish. Even though it was after 10 PM, the service felt like a 7 PM visit with attentive staff and freshly made food (pictured below, except the honey croissants-yummy!)
From the bartender who handed me my to-go order, to the young lady at the front who asked if I needed help, to Scott thanking me on my way out — the hospitality was consistent. As someone who works in Hilton Hospitality and digital marketing, I truly recognize and appreciate great service, and this was the epitome of it.
I’ll absolutely be back!

This was an excellent place to go for a Sunday lunch. The food was amazing and the server, Kate B, did an amazing job. Everyone from servers, hosts, and managment were friendly. This was the first time there but definitely not the last. Would highly recommend this restaurant especially the spinach dip!!!

I was told this place has THE BEST spinach dip. As a Google Reviewer, it was my duty to find out. I placed a phone order. When I arrived I was greeted by a nice young lady who instructed me to go to the bar to pick up my order. As I walked over I waited not even 2 min and my order came out. I paid for my order and left. I got in my truck, and I opened my bag to see my order neatly wrapped. I got home and beheaded my dip to make it ho5 to my liking and it was Superb!!! The dip was the right consistency. Not hard at all….as I took a bite with the chip i thought of all the other places I tried spinach dip snd they could not touch this spot!! I will definitely be back.

First time here! I will be back and I mean very soon. The food I had was absolutely delish. My plus one enjoyed their food equally. I had the Asian honey lime ribs and I can’t stop thinking about them. I also had the street corn for a side and I’ve never tasted something so good.

Xavier is amazing! He was really, really patient with our group of 14 ladies. Our drinks remained full the entire time. He honored all requests and made sure we were satisfied with everything. I ordered the Swiss and mushroom burger with sweet potato fries. The burger and fires were great.

Very nice restaurant and bar. Very clean through out the restaurant. Lots to choose from on the menu. Staff is very friendly and helpful and courteous. Service was very good. Our server was on top of things. He made good suggestions for us since this was our first visit. The Philly cheese steak is awesome and my Hangover burger was tasty and filling. Nice atmosphere with plenty of TV’s to watch your favorite game on. They have a nice outdoor area with fireplace. Food comes out quickly and everything was delicious. Looking forward to my next visit.

My family tried Hickory Tavern for the first time a few weeks ago. We dined in the patio which was well maintained and a pleasant atmosphere with tvs and a fireplace.
We were greeted with smiles and there was no wait (on a Friday around 5).
