Top-tier fast food chicken and the best there is in Lawrence. Food is always cooked fresh and well. Everything tastes great. The workers care and are always friendly. My wife and I share the 5 or 6 piece chicken tender meal and order an extra Texas toast. The sweet tea is a great complement. Can’t say enough about this place.

The last couple times this past fall we’ve eating at this Lawrence location things have gone by the wayside. This use to be one of our go to fast but fresh places for chicken when we were grocery shopping. The last couple times we have stopped in it’s been a real disappointment to say the least bathroom urinal doesn’t flush still and almost every table is dirty with food or empty food trays on them and it’s 7:00pm so I’m counting 6 people in here including us. 4 employees standing watching me wipe and clean off tables so we can sit and eat. Definitely rethinking coming back again

Quentin got some tenders the other day sit around for about 10 minutes nobody waiting on me there was only one other person sitting there eating the tenders for soggy. So I really didn’t even taste them I gave them to the dog when I got home. Do not recommend them

Good chicken tenders, served hot and fresh and fast. Seating was plentiful, and the place wasn’t too noisy or loud. That was a nice change from most restaurants who play music or tv do loud you can’t carry on normal conversations!

These drive thru wings slap – it was a long ass line at near 11pm probably from all the folks coming from the nearby tavern, but it hits differently. The sauce was fire too. Only regret not getting more.

Moved to Lawrence today, and needed something quick to eat. Stopped in at Slims in the drive thru. Casey and her wife were AMAZING! I ordered an array of sauces (ALL WERE !) The food was quick, hot, and delicious. What made the experience was Casey & her wife. They joked around with me, welcomed me to Lawrence, and most of all they said..See ya next time. YES YOU WILL!! Great food and AMAZING JOB LADIES!!!!

Me and my fiancée love to treat ourselves to this place. Their chicken is so good, and their sauces are great as well. Unfortunately tonight, it was the complete opposite. The chicken wings were super tiny and had hardly any meat on them. The sauce on them was good, but that’s the only redeemable factor for them. The fries and toast were good, but not good enough to overcome the disappointment I had for the wings.
My fiancée loves to get their chicken tenders and is usually always loving them, but her meal was also lacking in the quality we are used to. The chicken tenders were dry and thin.
To be honest, these aren’t enough to make us never want to go back to Slim Chickens, but we probably won’t be back anytime soon. 2 stars because it’s usually amazing, otherwise it would be a 5 star.

Ordered and was charged for a 4 piece but only received 3 pieces and the chicken was small and shriveled. Chicken was bland and dry. Slim sauce is pretty plain. Fries and toast was fine. Bad value and unimpressive.
