My daughter & son drove from Longmeadow, MA to Watertown, CT to take me there for Mother’s Day Brunch special. Upon entering there is a black sheet hung from the ceiling approximately 3 feet from the door blocking the view of the dining room and makes entering awkward. It was several minutes before we were acknowledged. The food was excellent both on presentation and taste, however, the portions were very small. I left hungry so I can imagine how my 23 year old son felt. The waitress/part owner had no personality when serving us and seemed challenged to to take care of us & two other parties. There was quite a wait between courses. Approximately 15 minutes after ordering dessert the waitress placed the check on the table. She returned 10 later to pick it up at which time we told her we were still waiting for dessert. She left to get and offered no apology. It was certainly not worth the price and my children were upset with the choice. I’m definitely not comfortable to recommend this others due to small portions, a bit pricey and poor service.
I truly enjoyed the meal, but would strongly suggest they invest in an experienced waitress and I’m sure they would have more return diners.
