My husband & I came here for brunch. We are the couple that likes to sample the menu. We started with the Kumamoto oysters (our fav), the spicy tuna tartar, & the cornbread french toast. The tuna tartar is more like a tuna wonton but soooo good & I used the mignonette from the oysters to garnish (it didn’t need it but I def enjoyed it). The french toast was incredible. 10/10 from me & my husband. & truly you can never go wrong with oysters. For our entrees we had the Inn Burger which was insanely juicy & the quinoa salad with steak. The steak (ordered rare) was perfectly cooked & the salad was fresh & delicious. Our server/bartender, Bartolo was incredible! His lemon drop martini & tiramisu espresso martini are delicious & strong! Absolutely recommend. We will be back, & hopefully when Bartolo is working the bar!

Solid choice in Jersey City. The staff is friendly, the vibe is comfortable, and the food never disappoints.
You have to try the pizza rolls — they’re like a mozzarella stick and an egg roll had a baby, and they’re honestly delicious. I had the short rib grilled cheese with a salad uhm…. can we say Yum.
If you’re looking for a place to stop in downtown that has good food, good people, and good vibes, this is it.

We had a great time during our visit to the Hamilton Inn. Worth a visit if you’re near Hamilton Park and looking for a bite. The outdoor seating is also cute when the weather is right

Stopped by Hamilton Inn for Sunday brunch and already can’t wait to come back for dinner. Located right next to Hamilton Park, the spot has a bright, airy vibe with a cozy neighborhood feel—perfect for a relaxing weekend meal.
It was packed (rightfully so), so definitely make a reservation. We had the chilaquiles, which were incredible—especially the chorizo, super flavorful! The huevos rancheros were also solid, but the real star there was the beans. So good.
Drink-wise, we were seriously impressed. Bellinis for $7 with generous pours? Yes, please. The Bee Sting cocktail was a creative and spicy take on a Bees Knees with hot honey—such a fun twist. The pineapple jalapeño margarita was amazing—perfect balance of sweet and heat.
Heads up if you’re not into cilantro—it pops up in a few dishes. Otherwise, 10/10 brunch spot. Can’t wait to come back for dinner!
Update 4/20: sat outside at Camp Hamilton on this beautiful day. He the crab cake po’boy….10/10. Don’t care about the calories, order 10 of them.

The Hamilton Inn is a reliable Jersey City spot for a weekend meal. If you have a sweet tooth, the corn bread French toast is a great pick because it’s flavorful and very sugary. The portions are filling, making it a solid choice for a casual brunch.

Location was good and parking was a little tough but we got street parking. Went at 530 on a Saturday and it was empty when we arrived however it was packed when we left. The atmosphere was very good and the food was delicious. I had the French dip which had a thick gravy like sauce which was different but very good. My wife had the Goat cheese salad which she said we very very good. Son had vodka chicken parm sandwich which he said was ok but not great. We also had the nachos which were really delicious and the chicken was really good. Overall this place is worth the visit.

Had a farewell brunch here for a friend who was moving to another planet (AKA Long Island). The food was….adequate, though to be fair, I only got the Caesar Salad with crispy chicken. I did appreciate that our server gave us a complimentary plate of Truffle Home Fries because she felt she had misrepresented how big one portion was.
Maybe dinner’s better? Or maybe this place is more hype than substance.

While walking around Jersey City, a spot caught my eye, so I decided to stop in and sit at the bar rather than get a table. I immediately noticed how clean and put-together the bartender was, which left a good impression. I ordered a mimosa for just $7 during their happy hour and couldn’t resist trying the Korean BBQ sauce fried cauliflower. It was delicious—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and coated in a flavorful sauce. If I find myself in the area again, I’d definitely love to come back and enjoy a meal outside

Bartolo is the bartender on Sunday – we went to brunch here – this guy is SO good at what he does and respects the customer. The Hamilton Inn is SO lucky to have him. I haven’t been here in 30 years, but we were so thankful to have such a good, caring bartender taking care of us on Valentine’s Day!! He makes good cocktails and serves the customers as if you are in his home! Bravo!!
