RESERVATION IS A MUST!
We arrived as a walk in and we had to eat on the outside tables (mainly because I did not wanted to wait).
We had the following:
Fried Calamari – really good a d cooked to it’s perfection
Garlic Bread – the olive oil is so fresh and tasty
Chicken Marsala with Risotto – good and the Risotto was amazing.
Pasta Carbonara – AMAZING!!! The italian way!!!
Tiramesu- One of the best that I have had…

Poppy’s Italiano is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re made to feel welcome, and the wait staff truly sets this place apart. They’re attentive, friendly, and genuinely care about making sure your dining experience is perfect without ever feeling overbearing. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows.
Now let’s talk about the food—specifically the chicken parm, which is nothing short of superb. Perfectly breaded, tender and juicy on the inside, topped with rich, flavorful sauce and just the right amount of melted cheese. It’s classic Italian comfort food done exactly right, and easily one of the best chicken parms I’ve had anywhere.
Between the outstanding service and the excellent food, Poppy’s Italiano delivers a consistently top-tier experience. Highly recommended, and absolutely worth coming back again and again.

I got the dinner special for $20; wine, with soup OR salad and a piece of bread (I choose garlic, delicious!). I paid four dollars extra for Alfredo. Then they got me an imported beer for 6.75. Then dessert for $13 which was the Spumoni: cherry, pistachio, chocolate gelato.
Everything was delicious!

Had an amazing dinner with my Sweetheart for his birthday at Poppy’s Italiano! Freda was an outstanding server and suggested the bruschetta which was FABULOUS!!! The baked penne pasta was yummy! We had a wonderful dinner and the gentleman playing the accordion was great! Can’t wait to return and try more items on the menu!

My husband’s experience here was during a visit to Mayo Clinic along with a friend. The portions were such that he had to request carry out. I tried it as a take out, we ate it on the beach.The salad and bread with the olive oil was delicious. I finally visited dine in during early bird. The food was so delicious and the atmosphere and the staff was top notch.We will be attending TPC Sawgrass in March for the week and we plan on enjoying a meal. I am looking forward to the experience.If you’re in the area and want a nice dinning experience in a nice atmosphere with delicious food and staff that treat you like family this is the place.The appetizer with shrimp ,the best you will have. Don’t take my word come, and enjoy ,you won’t be disappointed.

A full 5 out of 5 stars. Generous plates with delicious food that had the taste of homemade. Attentive service that ensured we had full drinks. The restaurant did feel a little small but lent a cozy atmosphere. There are no partitions however so when full it can get noisy. Overall a wonderful place to have dinner

I had a fantastic dinner at Poppy’s Italiano last Friday night at their St. Augustine location on Ashourian Ave. The food, as always, was delicious and beautifully presented. I started with their warm, fresh ciabatta bread and my favorite the Shrimp Aglio Olio appetizer—both were absolutely amazing. My best friend ordered the buffalo chicken salad, which was also a hit, the fried tortilla took it over the top. We finished dinner with a delicious cannoli, it was soo good!
The presentation was A+, and the service & atmosphere here is consistently excellent—The server’s are attentive & friendly, and the decor & music makes it feel authentic. Whether you’re a regular or it’s your first time, Poppy’s delivers a great dining experience every time.

Amazing. Took the family while we were in Ponte Vedra for a wedding last weekend. Highly recommend. Shrimp and scallop pasta with pesto cream sauce was delicious. My husband had lamb chops and loved it. Fried ravioli for appetizer was big hit with everyone.
