Food is really good and a different take on grilled chicken. It’s not Peruvian chicken, so don’t go in expecting that flavor profile.
My family ordered a whole chicken, some wings, and the chicken burger. Everything was very tasty. The wings were flavorful but a little on the small side. The chicken sandwich was solid and well done.
One of the best parts of this place is the unique sides. They offer coleslaw, fries, sweet potato fries, Brussels sprouts, rice, and several other options. It gives you plenty to mix and match.
It’s a quick dine-in experience, and their non-alcoholic drink selection is pretty decent.
Overall, the chicken is savory with a nice grilled flavor. The variety of sauces is impressive, so definitely try a few. Even without sauce, the chicken holds its own with great taste straight off the grill.

Having ate the original Nandos while living in south Africa I was a little skeptical about it here in the states. It was almost as good. Great flavor loved the sauces and the Brussels sprouts were right on. Definitely will be going to Nandos locations here in the USA now.

This restaurant just had a renovation and the restaurant looks cleaner, up to date, and inviting. We love the grilled chicken thighs here! Order one or two thighs and pick your sauce. From lime to medium, hot , or very hot.The grilled flavor is awesome. They have lots of different sauces to pick from to dip your chicken in. Chicken can come with sides of your choice. We like the mashed potatoes and a fries. The corn can be good during the summer time because it is seasonal. But sometimes the corn can be overcooked. Their grilled chicken is absolutely delicious! The chicken bowls are also delicious. They have a spiked lemonade which is pretty good. Although you can order your food directly at the table and they bring the food to you, the servers still check back to with you to see if you need anything constantly so the service is decent.

When we first got there, the sign said to wait to be seated. We stood there for about 5 minutes until a waitress came up, turned the sign around, apologized to us and told us to order at the counter. After we ordered we got our food within 10 minutes. The food was great- I got the chicken skewers with lemon and herb seasoning, and two sides. However the table we were seated at was under a leaking, dripping vent. We wound up moving tables because we both kept getting dripped on. There were other tables that had water spots on them too. I ordered dessert on my phone at the table. One came out right away but I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for mine. Overall I would say the food is fine at this location but the service/experience need some work.

This is an Afro-Portuguese grilled chicken chain restaurant that serves deliciously grilled chicken and tasty sauces. The ambiance is spacious, with plenty of seating and vibrant, colorful ethnic decor that makes it a perfect place to enjoy the meal with sides and drinks. The service is good, too. We always come here whenever we crave the best grilled chicken in the area.

I have mostly praise for this Nandos location. The staff is always welcoming and the interior is spacious, bright and clean. This is the only Nandos location other than Reston in the greater DC area that has the Coca-Cola freestyle machine which still offers lemonade (the best drink to have while eating Nandos). When they upgrade to a newer machine in the future to find a Coca-Cola option with Minute Maid lemonade instead of powerade. Anyways, the only critique I have for this location is the timing of the dishes being brought out. Our garlic sticks, which are very tasty most of the time, seem to always come with our main dishes while we wish they came earlier so we could snack on them. There is always ketchups and additional sauces in stock and the food is better than the other Nandos locations in the area 9 times out of 10. I would like to praise this Nandos for their outstanding work and staying on top of things while the other locations in the DMV are slacking.

Came here for dinner again with a few friends, as were were craving some good chicken. Nando’s here always delivers, so why not.
The Food: I went with a new item I haven’t seen before, the “Peri Chicken Rainbow Bowl”. The chicken thigs were cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. And, all the toppings/ingredients paired together for a delicious, fresh bowl. The portion size is big as well, so it’ll leave you full for sure.
The Service: Service was good. Staff were friendly and attentive with water refills. And orders were brought out to us in a timely manner.
The Atmosphere: Very nice and open space. Clean and plenty of seating. They have both indoor and outdoor seating as well.
Overall, a 5/5 Good food, good service and location. Definitely recommend.

Coming back from the National Gallery of Art with our kids and Grandkids and we specifically stopped at Merrifield to come to Nandos !! We had a whole chicken with brussel sprouts and some fries for the Grandkids. I bought some Hot Sauce for some friends at work too. I’d love to see Nandos come to Roanoke, VA where we’re from. We had a great meal and the staff were great.
