The Baseline
The Baseline: For a Burger-joint the burgers, fries, and drinks are prepared well, done with properly applied ingredients that should taste good, and any unique offerings should not take away from the basis of the burger itself.
Food: The double smash burger (4 out of 5) is really good with a nice salt on the thinly smashed patties. The bun was soft and well toasted to help soak up the fat from the meat. Great toppings for the burger. The Scorching Mac and Cheese (2 out of 5) was really spicy and was even a bit much for me for the night. The fries were pretty standard fries (3 out of 5) and complimented the meal. Bacon Smash (5 out of 5) was not my order but I wish I ordered that after getting one bite of it.
Service: Great service the night we came and the order was prepared properly.
Ambiance: This is a nice fast casual service restaurant with nice seating. There is a patio for nice weather but no shade. This is a part of the Manhattan Village mall complete and is a really nice place to dine.

I recently visited Smashburger in Manhattan Beach and had a mixed experience. The double truffle mushroom burger was unfortunately very salty and did not enjoyed it. On the other hand, the double deluxe burger my girlfriend ordered was excellent, flavorful and cooked just right.
I’m willing to give it another try, but I’ll definitely be ordering a different butger next time.

John was awesome! We’re on vacation and decided to give them a try. John was super patient in taking our order(party of 6). Fries were super fresh and delicious and our burgers came right after. They were very tasty, cooked nicely. Definitely exceeded our expectations.

Wowsers it’s been a while since I’ve been here, we live in the IE (Inland Empire) so when going to LAX we always try to stop & grab burgers and fries this place is fantastic, never disappoints… gotta check it out!!!!
