We had reservations for a large party. The tables weren’t ready for us, and it took them a while to get them ready. The seating was so close that we had to back the chairs all the way out to get in our seats.
Other than that, it was great.
The food and service were good.

My family and I went to Monterrey’s by the Mall on a Monday evening. It was not very crowded which was nice. We were greeted with a basket of chips and a bowl of mild salsa and a bottle of spicier salsa. I requested a bowl of spicier salsa (aka Picante) and a bowl of green salsa (aka Salsa Verde). The chips are thick and crunchy. They were room temperature. The waitress was quick to bring our waters and take our order. The Pollo Fundido was excellent. It was hot and ready to be devoured. I added salsa verde to it to give it an extra kick. I tried the Pollo y Chorizo and the Enchiladas Verde and they both had a lot of flavor. The portions are normal and all of the food had a lot of flavor and came out quickly.

This is my first ever review… but it was that bad. I ordered (to go) a pineapple ACP special, paid to add steak, and paid for side tortillas. The box didn’t have pineapples or steak – let alone a decent portion of anything that was included. I called in and offered to send the manager a picture of the food – she said she was busy and hung up.

Great service here. Nice, crispy chips. Great spicy salsa, probably like a jalapeno in heat levels. This is a w place for lunch and an alright place for dinner, price and portion wise.
Don’t be fooled by all the lettuce you see in one of the pictures, it has a solid layer of meat as well underneath. The chicken was definitely better than the ground beef. The steak tips were as good as the chicken. The crab was alright.

Nice place to get your fix on if you need it. Customer service is fast and polite. Facility is pretty good and clean on my visits. My food has always been hot and tasted pretty good.

Excellent Mexican restaurant with a wide variety of choices. They lose a star because our server forgot our queso.
My husband had their pollo fundido and said it was delicious. I had their burro de la roqueta and the sauce hit just right.

Parking lot was empty(red flag). I didn’t read the reviews beforehand, and I should’ve. The waiter was nice. The table salsa was like tomatoes paste and water. The spicy version wasn’t any better, they both had no flavor. My kids had cheese quesadillas with no complaints. I ordered the enchilada Verde with rice and beans, and it was hot and fresh but seriously packed any flavor or seasoning. I would not try again unless they seriously revamped the quality of the food.

Stop in one day after work on a Friday but it wasn’t that busy. Food was good and service was fast. We got our meal in a timely manner. I didn’t take any pics of my food because I was hungry and enjoying it . Maybe next time.

The margarita was sweet and sour mix with ice. Don’t get the pitcher AT ALL.We asked if there was any tequila and was told the mix 5 bottles in a big keg. It honestly tastes like pre-made margarita that has been watered down. The guacamole isn’t home made. It’s too smooth like a pureed premixed guacamole. I wouldn’t come back. I feel like it was loaded with msg because we all left sleepy. When we complained about the drink we were told we drank too much but how would we know it had no tequila if we didn’t drink a full glass. Smh. The manager was rude and nasty when we told her about it. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
