Environment
From the moment we were waiting to be seated, we could already feel the restaurant’s attention to detail. The welcome drink left a very good impression. The space is clean and spacious, with elegant and grand décor. The layout is clear and not crowded. I was seated in Area 9, and the atmosphere throughout the meal was comfortable and relaxing.
Food
I tried most of the seafood selections, and everything was truly fresh.
Not a single dish had any fishy or unpleasant taste. The quality was impressive. Besides seafood, there is a wide variety of cuisines available, including Chinese, French, and different Western dishes. Even if you do not eat seafood, this is still a highly recommended buffet restaurant. You can feel the care and standard in every dish.
Service
What satisfied me the most was the service. The staff member who served us that day was named Matthew. He was humble and attentive. Throughout the meal, he proactively cleared our plates and made sure the table remained clean and tidy. He constantly moved between the kitchen and dining area, working professionally and diligently. It was clear that he takes responsibility and pride in his work. The restaurant is fortunate to have an employee like him. He truly deserves recognition and encouragement
Overall
The overall experience was very satisfying. Five stars to all the hardworking staff, especially Matthew. Whether you are visiting the Gold Coast or dining locally, this restaurant is well worth recommending. I will definitely return
I even called ahead before booking to confirm there would be plenty of Morton Bay bugs, and was reassured that, as a buffet, there would be no issue. When we arrived, there were hardly any left. The few we managed to get did not taste fresh at all. After about half an hour, more bugs were brought out, but they were warm, fishy-smelling, and clearly not fresh. For a premium seafood buffet, this is unacceptable.
While there were prawns and other dishes available, the Morton Bay bugs are meant to be the highlight, and to have them served in that state was shocking. The service itself did not help either — there was no acknowledgment or effort to resolve the issue.
It’s incredibly disappointing that a place we loved enough to return has fallen so far below expectations. For a high-end seafood buffet, freshness and quality should never be compromised. Sadly, we cannot recommend Citrique based on this experience.

Thank you so much for your Standard reply that I’m seeing for lots of other reviews! clearly nothing is gonna be done and no we will not be returning. We had a much more enjoyable fresher seafood experience at Harvest Buffet! Even though the reviews aren’t as good there we had a much more enjoyable time and fresher experience.
The quality of seafood really differs i find. It’s the perfect place for quantity, but if i really want solid seafood there are much nicer restaurants in the area.
You will get solid bang for your buck here though, especially if you want variety.
Most of the staff are really friendly and professional. I did unfortunately come across a rude lady when it came time to pay. She refused to accept the bonvoy account number and simply refused to help unless I downloaded the app.
It annoyed me as I have travelled with mariot for years, I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and this is the first I’ve experienced this issue so we left with a pretty bad taste in our mouth unfortunately.
With the lack of points benefits, the appeal of citrique becomes less when other restaurants offer much more quality of food.
It is more difficult for me to write in English because I am Korean.
Nevertheless, I am writing this because I want to let many people know about the service of this restaurant and the staff named “Tanvee”
We were visited by five adults and one child, and after finishing our meal, we asked for only the ice cream included in our kids’ meal, but we didn’t receive it and had to wait for over 30 minutes before leaving. There were only two tables, there is no reason why it would take a long time to prepare the ice cream. I am sure she purposely kept us waiting without giving us kid’s dessert. We told her we didn’t need adult desserts, but she brought us the menu, ignoring our opinion. We told her again that we only needed ice cream included in our kids’ meal. Then, she looked at my kid and said, “If you eat dessert alone, everyone will be looking at you, but is that okay with you??” Then she snatched the menu away, and ended up making us wait for a long time without even ice cream included in kids’ meal. We got out of the way because we were offended.
My heart is still pounding because I’m angry at the thought of her for traumatizing us. The worst restaurant that comes to her mind before the food was delicious. My child still talks about “Tanvee” whenever he has to eat something alone. I don’t know if this bad memory will ever disappear for the rest of my life. I want a sincere apology from her.
