Breakfast at Grumpy’s was a standout experience from start to finish. Brittany provided exceptional service, striking the perfect balance of friendliness, attentiveness, and efficiency. She made the visit feel genuinely welcoming and set a great tone for the meal.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the kind of comfortable setting that makes you want to linger over your coffee. The food was delicious, clearly made with care, and arrived hot and well-prepared.

I have lived in Jacksonville for so many years and just this month I finally got to eat at Grumpys. They have a few different locations. I ate at the one at the beaches and the one in Middleburg within the past two weeks. I love breakfast and so I had breakfast options both times. The omelette was amazing and they even have gluten free toast for those of us that can’t eat gluten. Each of my friends had something different as well and they loved the food but couldn’t quit raving about the cinnamon rolls and tuna melt. If you are visiting Jax or live here, this is the place to go for the best breakfast and brunch in town – imo.

Grumpy’s was a cool experience. They’re were sooooo many people trying to get in there. It has to be a wait. Worth it. We had like a 9 minute window and the aromas had a “I’M WORTH THE WAIT-NESS” to them. We had our pick of place to sit both inside and out. Grabbed a great seat and Noella (Sorry if I misspelled it) was our waitress. She was so kind and compassionate, she could of nerf’d up the order and would of been forgiven just as fast. [[[LOVE YOUR PEN COLLECTION]]] I order the main sample platter. The cakes were so fluffy and warm, it chocolate morsels soft the whole time I was eating. Loved that! The eggs were perfect and I matched them with a fork of grits and sausage per bite. Comfort food “Grump’d” Properly! My platter has respect all over it. I ordered a larger pancake – just look at it. I placed a $5 bill to show you the sheet size of this behemoth. This wasn’t really a pancake. More like a cauldroncake.
Their blueberries pancake was on point as well. I just didn’t have the stomach capacity. So I guess I have to come back soon to tackle it again. I had a great time there. The staff and their clientele were charming. This restaurant is a metaphorical sharks tooth amidst the beach area. You’ll want to pick it up. Swing through and get you a Grump’d size meal to handle your hankering.

Great place for comfort food. And they now serve alcohol. Word of advice, get the turkey platter with dark meat (and an extra side of gravy), the white meat, while tasty, is dry as the Sahara. Their Smash Burgers are awesome, not too crazy about the potato salad though. And the servers are super friendly, efficient and accommodating. We will be back.

I visited this Grumpys a few weeks ago during Breast Cancer Awareness month and I was pleased to see that they turned pink for a purpose! They were serving up fluffy pink pancakes and waffles and 50% of proceeds from every pink menu item and T-shirt sales went directly to support those affected by breast cancer as well as The Donna Foundation. I love when my favorite businesses make these types of humanitarian efforts. My waitress that morning was Ellie and she was absolutely amazing! She even made me feel better after I not only broke one but two of the bottles of hot sauce. In my defense they slid off the table lol. We enjoyed a pink pancakes, the strawberry lemonade waffle that came with a huge slice of NY style cheesecake, and the delicious fried chicken Benedict that’s not to be missed. The food at Grumpy’s never misses so if you’re looking for a sign to try them, let this be it!

I had such an amazing experience at Grumpy’s today! First off, the food was absolutely delicious and the service was super quick. Our server Ellie was fantastic friendly, attentive, and made everything go smoothly.
A special shoutout to Tracy, I had my heart set on their Fruity Pebbles waffles after seeing them on TikTok, but they had run out. Tracy went out of her way to make it happen she even ran to Walgreens, got a box of Fruity Pebbles, and she made the waffles just how I wanted. She even gave me the box to take home! That kind of effort and care really shows how much they value their customers.
Highly recommend Grumpy’s! amazing food, incredible service, and staff who go above and beyond. I’ll definitely be back!

Daniel P was our server this morning and he did an incredible job at providing great service! He made clear the specials of the day (see the *amazing* Red Velvet Muffin Waffle below) and he was very efficient throughout the experience. Great food, and it came out very quickly (shoutout the line cooks!).
If I was a first-time guest, I would ask for Daniel P! I will for sure ask for him again when I come back in next time.

Finally made it out to a Grumpy’s location here in Jax, thanks to a recommendation from a fellow Elite we all know and love — Chef James D!
Sunday brunch at the Neptune Beach location was a real treat. Heads up: parking can be a little tricky unless you’re driving a truck .
We arrived around 11:45 AM and were quoted a 15–20 minute wait for two, but ended up snagging a cozy booth in the back within 5 minutes — love when that happens. Our server was fantastic: knowledgeable about the full menu, quick to recommend specials, and impressively handled making our alcoholic drinks despite how busy the restaurant was.
I ordered one of their classic breakfast combos (either #2 or #3), while my plus one went with the day’s special: a steak omelette. Both dishes were hearty, piping hot, and gave a real bang for your buck.
Grumpy’s marketing team has reached out to me before offering a complimentary meal in exchange for social media content. I hadn’t taken them up on it — but after finally experiencing it for myself and being genuinely impressed, I’ll definitely keep them in mind for future collabs. I can’t sell what I haven’t tried myself – full transparency. It’s definitely share worthy.
