Harlingen’s biggest secret!!!
OMG! This place is the best! Jalapeno bombers are excellent! Best I’ve ever had! I would love to try something else but I love the jalapeno bombers so much I just can’t!! We love coming here! Live music, friendly staff, large TV’s, pool tables, great food and super reasonable drinks! If I lived here I’d be a definite regular! And thank you for treating us like regulars! 🙂

I’m calling and no one has pick up the phone , drove from Los Fresnos to get a chicken sandwich to go and the chicken is raw super hard not even my nail can go through it. And no one is answering I’m so disappointed that I went to all the trouble for something so disgusting.

Perfect football bar and restaurant in Southern Texas .
Found this place online and discovered that they had the Vikings vs. Lions game on.
2 for 1 wings and drink specials. Fried pickles and hush puppies were average and nothing special.
Wife said it was the best boneless teriyaki wings she’d ever had and I agreed after trying a few. The traditional buffalo wings were good but lacked celery and/ or carrots sides.
The highlight at The Tipsy Tavern was the service. Every server was extremely attentive and took really good care of a couple of tourists passing through town for 3 hours. Decor was great with many big screens and pool tables. Restrooms were pretty gross. Highly recommend otherwise.

Great watering hole find in the Harlingen area. The atmosphere and service are both excellent. You will have plenty of options for adult beverages and some tasty options from the kitchen. Their onion rings were a bit on the wimpy side but other options were outstanding.

I’ve given this place multiple chances because the location is great, but the service is consistently terrible. Every time I’ve gone, I’ve had a different server, and they all seem to follow the same playbook: complete inattentiveness. It’s truly frustrating watching them stand around, often clustered together or glued to their phones while tables are waiting. Basic customer service seems to be an afterthought here. The bar seriously needs an entire staff overhaul. Until they hire people who are actually motivated to do their jobs, I cannot recommend coming here. Save your money and go elsewhere

Came back again from the last time abt 8months ago brought my husband to try the food here for his 1st time and was amazed and we came on a Tuesday not knowing what to expect yet they had Taco Tuesday and boy they are $1.00 ea really delicious yall. And forget about the fast food places. this is the spot. These were amazing it is super good. You get your moneys worth and compliments to the chefs there. Tipsy Tavern, take care of your cooks they do good for you guys. And them stuffed mushrooms which idk what they’re stuffed with, but wow, very flavorful. I want more. That dish is $10.99 for the order of 6. Still is good, no regrets. And chase it down with a Coca cola or a nice beer. Either way, it was great l. My waitress was awesome and did a good job. Thank you, Cooks & Staff. We will come back and not only on Tuesday any other day I know I won’t be let down with food. I took my photos but was a bit difficult to take the pics because of the lighting on the inside next time I’ll have a mini flashlight to give it color lol.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Place was very chill. Service was good and food wasn’t bad at all. Ordered the Philly cheese steak. Good sandwich with a side of battered onion rings Bread was surprisingly soft. Grilled but soft. Filling was sauteed very well. Meat had a slight gamey taste to it…..maybe not enough seasonings. I will give em the benefit of the doubt this round.

After several recommendations and traveling here monthly, I decided to give this place a try.
I loved the look of the sign out front, and the space inside gave off a fun vibe! It is large and spacious, and they have a stage where there was a guitarist playing live music.
I sat at the bar, and it took a few minutes for the bartender to acknowledge me. I ordered my classic Long Island Iced Tea to drink and for dinner I went with the Shrimp Plate.
The shrimp were huge and it looked great but I didn’t really care for the breading they used. It had a strong flavor that caught me off guard. I ended up just eating the French fries and buttered toast. I closed out withs shots (Shock Tart) that were pretty decent.
Overall, I enjoyed the evening and I’d visit again but next time I’m going with a simple burger.
