Don’t miss this wonderful dinner when you’re in the area. It’s hidden behind Arbee’s, just off Rt. 68. The people are super friendly, the food is outstanding, the prices are excellent and there are plenty of tables with a nice quiet ambiance. The Reuben sandwich may be the best I’ve ever had! Thank you Tasha for that great recommendation!

Tonight I had the roast turkey with dressing & cranberry sauce, sweet potato fries, and baked beans, with a root beer. I also tried the xango for dessert. Everything tasted wonderful and the service was great. The only reason I took one star off, is because they have a lot of flies. I realize when the door opens a lot, they get in, but they need to come up with a solution to get rid of them. Anytime I’m in the area, I’ll be back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Fantastic Lunch at Tellicafe – 11/26/25
My partner and I enjoyed an absolutely wonderful lunch at the Tellicafe in Tellico Plains, TN on 11/26/25, and we’re still talking about it! Our server, Jayne S, was the true star of our visit—warm, friendly, fun, and attentive in all the best ways. She made us feel right at home and brought such great energy to our meal.
The food was outstanding and easily the second highlight of our day. We ordered:
• Hamburger steak with gravy – cooked to perfection, tender, flavorful, and paired with excellent green beans.
• Meatloaf – hands-down the best I have ever eaten… and that includes my own! Served with green beans plus creamy mashed potatoes and gravy, it was comfort-food heaven on a plate.
From start to finish, both the service and the food were exceptional and truly made our day special. We will absolutely return the next time we’re in the area.
Thanks again, and Happy Holidays!
Charlie & Rod
P.S. Jayne (or kitchen team!) — any chance you might share that incredible meatloaf recipe with us? I’d love to try my hand at making it at home!

It is an oasis from all the curves in the road to get there. All folks were friendly. Tons of choices; even some all you can eat options. Wife had a salad. Great. Son had a burger. Great. I had chicken salad sandwich. Great. Daughter had corn dog from kids meal. Definitely filling. Prices in line. We will definitely be back when we drive through.

Stopped in for lunch on our way back from Cherokee and had a delicious lunch. The turkey club pictured was stuffed with fresh veggies and good quality protein. The service was a bit slow but super friendly. We would definitely return to eat again, good portion for the money. It is conveniently located which ever direction you are headed.

First, I will say that the service here was great but I wouldn’t recommend this place. High prices and low quality food. We are from out of town and stopped by here. It was the only place open that had healthier food. We each got a steak and 2 sides. Fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant mashed potatoes and I’m pretty sure the green beans came from a can. The steak tasted great, cooked perfectly but mine had sooo much fat that the amount of actual meat that I got to eat was so minimal… our bill was $90, before the tip! That’s wild. If it was all around better quality, then yeah I could see paying that much but this was mostly sub-par. Very disappointing to waste that much money here. We went to a sweetwater restaurant and all of the food there was 10/10. We got an appetizer, 2 entrees and a dessert. That bill was $53.

Just stopped in for lunch on a cruise with sixteen cars in our group. Didn’t know what to expect when I arrived. Southern cooking at it’s best. The open face roast beef sandwich with fried okra was delicious. I overheard people who loved the chicken wrap and the cheeseburger. Key lime pie for dessert was perfect.
Love the fact our server, Stephanie, spent time with us and even the owner introduced himself to our group. Just good folks….as my grandmother would say.
If they would have given me an extra slice of bread, I would have mopped up the gravy!!
Forgot to get picture of the key lime pie, my mouth got rid of the evidence to fast.

Wow! When I first sat down, I was apprehensive due to how much they offer on the menu. Normally, when a restaurant has an extensive menu, they’re not that good. There are too many items to get wrong. But this place has it figured out. I had roasted trout stuffed with crab and shrimp. It was seafood heaven! The sides are great, too. The absolute highlight was the bread pudding. Oh my! It was so good! The service is pure southern hospitality. Super friendly and attentive. My drink was never below half. This place is an absolute gem!

Honestly one of the best meals we’ve ever had. We started with fried green tomatoes that were very tasty. I had the prime rib sandwich special. The meat was tender and delicious. The accompanying onion rings and fries were great! My wife had the fresh trout that was superb! We had the house made carrot cake that was without a doubt the best we’ve ever had. They have a great menu with a wide variety of offerings. I think everyone can find something good to eat here. Our very friendly and courteous waitress said many of the deserts they serve are house made. We will be back many times to try out all of the deserts and food offerings. They have several all you can eat options for those with large appetites. The prices were very reasonable.
I highly recommend the Tellicafe!

A gem! Food we ordered were superb! The fried trout and stuffed baked trout that my husband and I ordered were so good. Bread pudding is a must try. I like it that they serve in hot plates. The potato fries are flaky good. The black currant iced tea is a must-try. Clam chowder has the perfect creaminess. Rueben is yummy. Stuffed mushroom was worth the 20min wait. Key lime pie has the creamy sour goodness. We were kinda skeptical with the wide variety of food in the menu but all that we tried were very good. The restaurant owner/manager made it sure that everyone feels welcome.
