Service is fabulous, view is great, and they do a nice presentable.
However, they are big fans of raw onions (it isn’t mentioned as an ingredient on the menu) and steaming. If that’s your thing- then you’ll likely enjoy this restaurant more than I did.
I like my onions sautéed and prefer things to be pan seared or grilled for flavor and texture. The seasonal vegetables being steamed made it feel like they were from the school cafeteria- all the flavors bland and the texture of something too hard and others mushy.
The potatoes were sculpted beautifully, but mine were cold and lacking flavor. I had the halibut and it was only slightly overcooked- which a bit rubbery is preferable to undercooked!
So everything was okay- but nothing was great- other than the service. The service was lovely, everyone was attentive and helpful. The view is anak pretty fabulous, even from inside! I had wonderful company for my lunch and really enjoyed my time at this establishment, Just wish I loved the food so I’d have a good reason to go back.
Oh- the carrot cake was fabulous That was impressive- especially the icing. The flourless chocolate cake was also warn, rich, and delicious.
The cheesecake says “du jour” (of the day)- but is a standard New York style that tasted and had the texture of something that had been in the fridge for a week… so I don’t recommend that.

This is the best food in Hood River (or The Dalles). We have been there many times and it always delivers, the staff are nice too and there’s a lovely deck in summer. We were just there (Feb, 2026) and once again it was stellar. I had the “Sesame crusted sushi tune” (photo), it is beyond delicious and so much tuna! My wife had the “Organic curry chicken salad”, she’s still talking about it. I think the price are good for what you get. There’s salmon burgers for $16, fish & chips for $19, pulled pork sandwich for $17. My wife’s salad was $17 and my tuna dinner is at the top end at $31. We also had 2 glasses of wine for a total of $64. Oh, I forgot that I also added a beer

This was a divine dining experience following our apple tasting date. WOW! Delicious food and excellent friendly staff. I danced as I ate my mushroom ravioli with parmasean sauce. We got dessert to go and, OH MY! The raspberry creme brulee was out of this world. Highly recommend stopping here! My husband and 3 other people around us got the Cajun seafood pasta. All seemed pleased. This is a great spot for a date night. They have indoor and outdoor seating with heaters AND blankets available. Twinkle lights to top it all off. ✨️

One of the best food experience in Hood River. Went with some friends, party of 6 and everybody was extremely pleased with their dish. The crab cake was really good as an appetizer, the duck was splendid. The cranberry sauce at the bottom was marvelous and it balanced the sweet potatoes to perfection! Just look at this presentation of the duck plate . And the service was just as good. If was a great experience

When you walk in, you can easily feel intimidated, but the atmosphere is actually laid back. At first, the server had an angry look on his face, but as soon as I asked how his day was going, his demeanor changed. Overall, the service was good. The food and drinks were also good. There wasn’t anything amazing about the food, but it was definitely good enough to earn a four-star rating.

I was looking for a open dinner place in Hood River on Thanksgiving night. They answered and kindly gave us a seat for 4 in their lovely resturant hour before closing time. Service was amazing filled with homey vibe. They gave us positive energy, happiness, and joy. Line was an amazing server, and made our night special. Food was so delicious!

Fine dining in a simple, elegant setting, with very good service. The Blackened Salmon Caesar is fresh caught King Salmon, done to perfection. Try the Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake, it is excellent. The wine list is moderate in length, and diverse.

Fantastic place that well exceeded our expectations! Great outdoor seating with a view. Expansive menu with lots of excellent choices. Bruschetta was the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Same highest compliments to seared ahi tuna. My wife was very pleased with her halibut. This place is a real gem. 10 out of 10.
