Most of the reviews are about food, but I’d like to add that the employees lack customer service skills at this location.

I came January 13 at 4:34 AM, Only one other car in the parking lot. I had to go inside to use cash to pay for my gas I only saw three employees in the kitchen. Nobody at the counter. First, I try to use self check out But the machines don’t have an option to use cash or buy gas. So I go to the front counter and waited and waited. The whole time All 3 of the employees are back in the kitchen, pretending to make sandwiches/ make themselves seem busy; staring at me from the kitchen while I’m waiting. So finally I just had to go up to the kitchen counter myself and ask if I could pay for gas.

The light skin lady that was working rolls her eyes and takes a deep breath before saying “yeah at the counter”, she then proceeds to ask her coworkers “who’s feels like going to the counter?” Bro, seriously it’s 4 AM… Are we seriously about to play Rock-Paper-Scissors Over who can work the front counter for all of 30 seconds at 4 AM? With 1 other customer…

Another 2-3 minutes goes by then somebody finally comes out as if im bothering her for buying gas at a gas station… she just stares at me, i give her the money, then she starts huffing because i was waiting for her to say “you’re good”… I just walked out… I’ve worked at Sheetz & Wawa specifically very easy job, excellent pay for overnight staff… I shouldn’t be treated like a nuisance every time I come when I just want gas… Having Self-Checkout Machines does not completely absolve you of needing to provide good service.

I was excited to try this new store, but the experience was less than I expected. I ordered a bacon, egg, & cheese croissant that looked amazing on the menu, but what I got was a burnt croissant with no egg and possibly no cheese (if the cheese is there, it’s burnt and tasteless). As my first Wawa experience, this sets the standard pretty low. A vending machine sandwich at a crappy bus station is more enjoyable than this.

But the gas was the cheapest in town, so I gave it more than one star.

Glad to see Wawa down in Jacksonville. Wawa is a staple gas station /convenient store where I’m from.

As a big coffee connoisseur, Wawa coffee is an extreme let down. It may smell good but it is extremely diluted and the ratio of grounds to water is not correct. I understand it isn’t a specific coffee cafe but in my opinion this is the only unsatisfactory food/drink item at Wawa.

I’m from northern Va so I’ve been going to Wawa since high school and this is the first time I’ve been disappointed by my experience. Most of my sandwich is in the box and the fries we ordered were hard as bricks. Please retrain your food staff

This was my first experience ordering food from the Wawa kitchen. I got a simple “build your own” salad. After getting through about half of my salad, I took another bite and was met with a sharp poke on my inner cheek and on my tongue. I immediately reached in my mouth and pulled out what looks to be a metal bread-bag tie. Thankfully, I was not injured, however, this could have been an extremely dangerous event, and this just solidified never going back for the Wawa kitchen. This may have been just a “harmless” accident, but this shows a lack of awareness/responsibility within the Jacksonville Wawa.

Great spot!! First time ever visiting a Wawa and it didn’t disappoint. It’s super clean and well organized. There’s parking on the side of the building as well as a couple of self check out machines. The staff themselves are also pleasant!

Super happy Wawa has moved into North Carolina. I used to visit several different locations when I lived in New Jersey. Great as I remember, just bigger and more options. Keep up the great work. Staff member came out from around the counter to assist us on ordering what we wanted. Superb customer service

It’s fine. Decent people – they treated us well. Similar to all the others. I’m gonna stick with my good old Circle K but in a pinch, Wawa works too! A fun feel in there.

Got here about 5 minutes early (of my anticipated pick up) after ordering food on the app. I watched the man making my order touch his ear, hair, cloth face mask and pull his pants up all with the same gloves he was touching food with. The wait, as others have stated, was about 30 minutes for two breakfast burritos and a watered down iced coffee once the order was completed. For a newer Wawa, compared to the Goldsboro location of all places, it’s clear this staff needs to be completely retrained. It looked like the shorter woman manager was the only person who cared about what was going on. I feel bad for her and hope she gets a competent staff in the future. For someone who has always praised Wawa, I will not be ordering food from here again.

I finally got hoagies for my family! And I will never do it again.

I got a chicken cheesesteak, a regular chesesteak, a ham, and a meatball. We did not go crazy with the toppings and sauces and asked for all 4 to be toasted. I cannot accurately describe how soggy and messy these sandwiches were and the cheesesteaks didn’t even have the cheese sauce I ordered on them. They were inedible. The bread was almost liquid. It was so disgusting and by far the worst sandwiches we’ve ever had. I regret not taking pictures to include, but we just tossed all 4 and made frozen pizza instead.

Well, at least our curiosity is satisfied, I guess. How in the world people celebrate this place as having great hoagies is beyond comprehension. Even Subway does better than this.

Nevermind the fact that there’s no clear way to know that orders paid for on the app are in a different area. The sandwiches sat there for an extra 8 minutes before I found them.
