I was invited to this joint because of this YouTuber Yoshi who was raving about this place online, and this is the exact reason why I hate 90% of the YouTubers, especially the ones who are still suffering from taste lost after COVID. When we were there, all of the 5 tables that they had, were tourists who saw Yoshi’s post. This joint needs to pay Yoshi something if they haven’t already.
Over all, it is just a pretty standard Italian joint, and they are not trying anything beyond that. It is just like the name, a neighborhood Italian cafe. The quality of the food is there, flavors are balanced. The crowd favorite, Garlic Shrimp Pasta is just nothing special, but no complaints. I have no idea why this would be on YouTube. But then again, most people on YouTube have no idea what they are talking about. If you ask me whether this place is worth a specific visit, the answer is No. Great service though.

A lovely restaurant with amazing Pasta!! The owner and staff were so nice to us. The atmosphere was really refreshing, welcoming, and pleasant! We went during late lunch hours around 2PM and it was not crowded at all. There were a lot of options on the menu— I really loved the Cajun Pasta! The whole place was very clean too so I appreciated that as well ☺️

We went for lunch yesterday. The server was very helpful in making choices. We went with the calamari, garlic shrimp on sqiid ink pasta in a cream sauce, and jumbo scallops in a creamy spinach spaghetti. Let me tell you the flavors were unlike anything I have ever had before, I wish I had words to describe the taste of the said ok pasta. There was something very distinct in the flavor of the squid ink pasta, I could going back to it but couldn’t figure out what it was. The scallops were truly amazing and the calamari was fried to perfection, every bite was crispy yet so soft and tender on the inside. They use fresh seafood and not frozen like some other places and you can taste the differences. You can find street parking on the street but you have to pay the meter. The prices are a little high for pasta but for the quality of their dishes, I would say they are spot on. I would not hesitate to eturn in the future.

Pasta was super nice. We ordered the garlic shrimp black pasta and calamari! However, the main came before the appetiser which is a bit unexpected. But the overall experience is really nice and staff is attentive as well!

WOW WOW WOW. I just got back from Italy and was having severe fomo, this is the first place I went. It was our first time here and we were impressed!!! The host was so wonderful, our server Carlos, honestly everyone was a vibe! You can tell why this place has been open for 36 years. The food was beyond delicious as you can see from our empty plate club pic. To top it off, they brought us a complimentary desert, I can’t wait to come back on another date night!

I ordered from this place through Uber Eats because there was a buy-one-get-one offer on the wild basil ravioli, along with a lemon bar with shortbread crust. Unfortunately, the experience was really disappointing.
In the picture, you can clearly see like the sauce wasn’t even sticking to the ravioli. Half I don’t know how they cooked it.
The ravioli was not enjoyable at all. The filling tasted very off, and while the sauce itself was fine, the pasta was a major issue. The ravioli didn’t seem properly made. I couldn’t finish it, and to make matters worse, my stomach hurt the next day, which made the experience even more frustrating.
The lemon bar was also underwhelming and didn’t live up to expectations. Overall, none of the items worked for me.

My go to Italian spot in west LA. I’m a regular patron and i love taking friends and family who visit. Everyone has always thoroughly enjoyed their food and experience at this restaurant. The waiters are very knowledgeable about the dishes. My go to are the Cajun chicken pasta dish and the short rib ravioli. They have an extensive menu and a vegetarian and health conscious section so my vegan and vegetarian friends have always felt very included with more options than the average non vegan restaurant. Price point is very fair and portions are bigger.

I ordered the Artichoke Shrimp Gnocchi, and it was pretty good. The portion size was a bit small compared to other places where you either get super full or end up taking boxes for leftovers. But still I think it is enough for one person and felt just right if you’re not extremely hungry. The bread they serve is good, feels like homemade and goes very well with butter.
