Not only great food, but a chance to see an extensive collection of world war memorabilia, mostly donated by the public. It covers every wall, it’s hanging from the ceiling, it’s in the bathrooms. Actual uniforms and photos – the real thing. Did I mention great burgers? And the service is excellent.

Those is a very popular restaurant. People will wait to eat here. I tried the Bumstead burger basket with a side of fries. The Ruben sandwich is pretty good too. The beer selection includes very good beers, some wines and mixed drinks. The softdrinks are bottomless. Getting to this restaurant isn’t obvious. It can be seen from the highway but had to drive around the a gas station to get to the restaurant. But it was worth it. The wait for seating was definitely worth it.

I think the atmosphere was great. The waitstaff was wonderful. I had a reuben and french fries. It was very fairly priced. The corned beef on the Reuben sandwich was
Shredded and sparse. The French fries were hard. They were hot, they were not overcooked. It must have been the oil.

This is exactly the kind of place every community should rally behind. A locally owned, veteran-owned restaurant that delivers outstanding food, exceptional service, and an atmosphere filled with meaning.

The food was phenomenal—fresh, well-prepared, and clearly made with pride. The atmosphere is truly one of a kind. Every artifact tells a story, honoring our nation’s past and the great heroes who served this country and the United States military. You don’t just eat here—you experience history, respect, and gratitude woven into every corner of the space.

Service was excellent from the very first interaction all the way through closing out the bill—welcoming, attentive, and genuinely appreciative of their customers.

If you believe in supporting local businesses, honoring veterans, and preserving the stories of those who served, this place deserves your business. I highly recommend it for everyone from 0 to 100 years old.

Food was excellent. I had the Hawaiian chicken sandwich with orings, he had the buffalo sandwich with tots. I of course liked mine better.
Ashley was a great waitress and Irene was soooo funny. Amazing place. Lots to look at all over the cafe.

It took my husband and I to figure out what to order >15 + minutes due to the menu! This eatery represents veterans…their decor is over the top in representative of all military. Then throw in how good their food and service! Much appreciated due to having 4 family members in the service.

This little restaurant is probably one of the best dining experiences I’ve had! The hostess was very friendly and polite but the place was packed so we had to wait a little under 10 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated, there was another wait to get service but the young waitress was apologetic and it was well worth the food. The loaded fries were delicious and the order was huge! We ordered the brat burger and Reuben sandwich. I’m pretty particular about burgers but this one was moist and had an amazing flavor! The Reuben is served on marble rye and was grilled perfectly! Our sides were fries and green beans and both were delicious! Once we ordered the appetizer arrived pretty quickly, and our main courses came out not too long after that. We were really impressed with the quickness of the service especially with how packed the place was! The cafe is decorated with hundreds of authentic photos of veterans and military memorabilia. It’s obvious the owners respect people who serve(d) in the military as the hostess went around one of the tables that was full of service people and shook each hand and thanked them. We are definitely returning!

I expected more from the pork tenderloin. I guess it’s all frozen out of a box anymore. I thought they served plate meals here. My memory is not always correct. We both left half our food. When it’s not very good, why eat it.

The food, service and atmosphere was memorable. It has a post WWII feel with pics all over the walls. The food is unique with homemade French Fries and fried catfish so tender I was able to eat it with no teeth. This place is definitely a keeper. I can’t wait to come back and try the Mahi-Mahi tuna.
