I have extensive dietary restrictions and was still able to identify plenty of options to choose from. Our table enjoyed the Bacado Omelet, the Sunrise Granola Bowl and the Barbacoa breakfast bowl.
Mckenzie is a rock star ⭐️ She listened to my very closely to what happened with my order and as I was having a personal issue as well she went above and beyond!
She made my whole experience turn around and added her personal touches to it that quite simply made my whole day!!
She is an absolute gem to have on any team and understands customer service is personal!
Note: Your purposely highlighted menu items do not stand out from the rest of the menu. Of course, this issue could have been avoided if my server (very pleasant guy) had initiated a convo about the menu at first visit.
The food arrived timely and well plated, except for the obviously broken/almost hard-fried “over easy” eggs i had ordered. My server didn’t deliver them, so I couldn’t fault him. I do fault the expo as no broken yolk (which, again, was evident by the hard yellow line across the yolk) could EVER pass for OE. I only had to wait about 3 minutes from the time i finished my tasty, large (not enormous) pancake until the new perfectly-cooked OE eggs arrived, so no biggie. However, it is not encouraging to hear from your server he had to help the kitchen understand what OE means. I slid the new eggs into my home fries bowl where i had already crumbled my side-order (2 pieces) of well-cooked bacon and broke the runny yolks over the mix. Tasty.
But, when I am paying $27/head for breakfast, I expect it to be PERFECT–which this was not. Another example: the silverware, though of nice quality, was water-spotted. If you are going to ask for all the money, you need to go the extra mile and polish your silverware. If I had ordered this to go, I would be livid based on the overdone eggs alone.
My $27/head included a 20% gratuity, which is the minimum I will tip w/o speaking to a manager. But the ridiculous base cost of food, the expectation for another 27-32% added for tax/tip, and the invariably-mediocre quality/delivery of the product leads me to cook for myself at home.
Even as we were checking out, the warm conversation as well as opening the door for made us feel first class.
Luckily for me this location is about a mile away from my new house.
The restaurant was clean, quiet, and the service was really fast.
I ordered a roast beef sandwich and my favorite soup, tomato basil. (if you didn’t know, tomato basil is the soup they serve every day.)
They also have a great breakfast selection. They also have a fantastic seasonal menu (like every season).
Gladly it was not our usual First Watch experience!
Coffee as always really good.
The pecan caramel bun, we didn’t like it. Extremely sweet.
Environment nice.
