Excellent authentic Chinese food! The only real downside is that it’s always so busy that you have to order takeout instead of dining in, though I think that speaks to their quality. I typically order their dumpling noodle soup and its a great portion size and delicious.

There was an older man that worked here who was pretty rude, who i think may have been the owner, but I havnt seen him in a while so I’m assuming he hired younger people to work customer service for him. Thats the only reason I left service and atmosphere at 4 stars.

I have always had great experiences here. The staff is very quick and friendly. The food is amazing. It’s a very low key atmosphere. Small quiet place that always feels warm and welcoming.

A busy spot, but for good reason. Spots fill quick due to the delicious, authentically prepared Chinese dishes. While there are several familiar options like spring rolls, or ABC’s familiar looking ABC Chicken, the real draw, for us, were the deeper cuts.

Chicken feet in black bean sauce, shrimp stuffed eggplant, pork and shrimp stuffed tofu skins, an assortment of steamed buns… the list goes on. These dishes aren’t rehashes of the fried chicken balls in sugar sauces most think of when they hear “Chinese restaraunt”. That isn’t to say these dishes are inaccessible or “weird” at all. But consider that if your group is wanting piles of general’s chicken or base shrimp fried rice, there are plenty of places to do just that. ABC Cafe is a great spot for those wanting to dive deeper.

The food smells, looks, and tastes great. We usually go for the Dum Sum/small plate items which come in a few costs per plate and come out with 3-6 pieces. They are prepared and served right away and are all fresh. It’s a great spot to converse and share in a variety of tasty foods. Staff are kind and attentive. Seating is pretty tight but not unlikeable.

A nice spot for sure, but as stated, it can fill up fast with patrons needing plenty of time to chat and sample.

I generally do not like Asian restaurants with pictures of menu – by only because the food never looks as good in as it looks I’m from of you and especially as it tastes. Had an excellent glass noodle stir fry dish, and they gave me a huge side of chili oil to spice it up.

Service is excellent. Staff is friendly and quick. Ate here on Thanksgiving, and there was diverse, happy crowd inside. A little cramped, but the focus is on the food, as it should be. I had slept on this place, one of KC’s best, for too long, and I will definitely be going back.

ABC Cafe is our go-to for an authentic dim sum experience. If you’re looking for the ‘real deal,’ this is it. I love bringing my kids here because the atmosphere is welcoming and the variety allows us to try so many different things.
We usually grab several dim sum items—their traditional plates are great, but it’s also a fun place to be adventurous with more authentic items like chicken feet or squid. We always round out the meal with a few of their rice and noodle plates to share. It’s consistent, fun, and easily some of the most authentic Chinese food in the area. A must-visit if you want a true dim sum spread!

A little gem tucked away in OP! The food was great, we ordered a few dim sum options and shared the Singapore noodles which were ✨delicious✨. The service was great and I will definitely be back!

Very disappointing experience, should’ve listened to other reviewers. The flavor of the siu mai was very one dimensional (no shrimp) and honestly just tasted like repurposed xiao long bao filling. Also, the shrimp dumplings (蝦餃) were (as I believe) frozen from the supermarket, as there were no whole pieces of shrimp and it was mostly mushy filler fish. As a college student, I eat frozen dim sum pretty often, and it was identical in flavor and texture. I don’t mean to accuse the restaurant, but these are just my observations. Tofu skin roll (腐皮卷) was dry, excessively chewy, and bland. 糯米雞 was also dry and tiny but was probably the best thing I got in addition to the chicken feet. I understand that’s it’s nigh impossible to make fresh dim sum without high volume, but it feels disingenuous to charge $4-6 for (again, what I believe to SOME frozen) dim sum dishes. I’m sure the other standard Cantonese dishes here are great , but if you’re wanting dim sum, this isn’t the place.

Always amazing! I love the ABC chicken and egg drop soup! Place is pretty small but definitely worth the wait if there is a crowd. We always go on Christmas day, and yes, it’s packed, but that’s how you know it’s good! Have also gone just during a regular weekday and usually not too much of a wait then. Staff is efficient and succinct. Don’t forget to try their hot green tea!

I hate to say it because this place came so hyped, but, meh. The crab Rangoon came out so full of fry oil that we had to pour them out on the plate. I had the ABC Chicken and found it extremely bland. Combining the chicken with the rice really exasperated it. My wife had beef chow mein which was equally bland. We also had the pork sui mai. That was the most flavorful item. The pork was delightfuly light in texture but wonderfully tasty. Overall I was really underwhelmed probably won’t come back.

Haven’t reviewed this place in a long time.
If you’ve never been, seating is limited especially for a large group.
That said, dinner last night was great! As usual, we ordered a lot and rolled out.
Siu Mei, turnip cake and stuffed eggplant helped to ward off the longing for our favorite dim sum in Malaysia. The Ma Po Tofu was excellent as was Pork Belly.
Highly recommended, closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
