Our party of 12 celebrated my friends birthday at the “Peppermill” at lunch time!The Maryland Crab soup was one of the best ! I loved “Salmon Florentine”w/ a baked potato(generous portion)! Oh! The Key Lime Pie was so creamy! The everpresent waitress brought her a piece of chocolate cake w/ a candle & we sang that familiar song! Everyone enjoyed their meals & the service! What a great place w/ pleasant memories!

Went there to celebrate friends’s birthday. She raves about the affordability of the good food and the old-fashioned cocktails. She was not wrong about the affordability, good food, and cocktails. It appears that the restaurant is geared towards senior citizens, and I felt like I was the youngest person there. Nice clean restaurant, but definitely a little dated, the bar looks a little modern with large TVs. Old fashions are already pre-mixed and ready to serve, that’s one thing I really enjoyed, not having to wait to get another round of drinks. They do cook the food according to their aforementioned demographics’s tastes. My wife ordered a side dish of coleslaw and broccoli, but she did not enjoy it because it looks like vegetables were boiled. My rice side dish was very lightly seasoned, almost to the point of being bland, a little gravy could’ve fixed it. All in all, it was still good and I would go back.

For a year or so, I have been picking up take out dinner for my parents, who aren’t able to dine out, once a month or so. The food is always delicious and the hostesses are friendly and efficient. I love the menu and typically try something new each time we order. We love Peppermill night!

We have been dining at the Peppermill since the early 80’s and it has always been one of our very favorite places. Cocktails are well prepared, staff is always friendly and attentive, and food has been fresh and delicious.
What happened?
My husband and I ate there this week for an early dinner. We both ordered the Chicken Baltimore which has ALWAYS been awesome! About a month ago I had ordered it and there were 2 chicken breasts, large lumps of fresh crab and.fresh mushrooms in a delicious sauce. Ordered it again this week we were very disappointed! One small chicken breast, very fishy crab meat(not jumbo lump) and different sauce which was not tasty at all! We told the waitress and she kindly offered us two free desserts. We chose the dark chocolate cake with buttercream frosting which was also disappointing. The frosting was not nearly as buttery as it has been in the past.
Hopefully it was just an “off” night & everything will improve! You just cannot cut corners when it comes to good food.

We had a really great experience at the Peppermill over the past few days. We dined there twice in the past week, and both times were very good. As a small group for lunch on a weekday, we had a fabulous server, and our food was very good. Following that, we had a group of 20 people on a Saturday night and we so appreciate how accommodating the management, servers and other staff were for that occasion. They set up our party with two large tables in the back so that we were able to converse and and have a little bit of space. All the food was very good! Favorites from our crew were the coconut shrimp, the salmon, the crab cakes, the roughy, and the coconut cake. Thank you to the team at the Peppermill for a wonderful meal and experience.

It was a packed house tonight for our monthly gathering. The ten of us were immediately greeted by Darlene, who provided spectacular service for the next two hours. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Crab soup, oyster stew, salads, rolls and entrees were expertly prepared. This was a first time visit for eight of our diners. Return visits are assured. Thanks for a memorable experience.

Great selection of comfort food. Their cream of crab soup is superb. Table seating and bar seating. Great selection of cocktails and wine. Reasonable prices. Lots of repeat from locals. We have been there many times over the last 20+ years. Convenient location with lots of parking.

My wife and I have made this spot into our little getaway from the norm. We’ve made a habit of going here on Sunday afternoon. We usually sit on the bar side because it’s fairly empty (arrive after 1). The food is very affordable compared to restaurants in the area. Plenty of parking, friendly staff, and super chill vibes.
I’ve gotten full on appetizers alone. We always order the cream of crab soup. The food isn’t heavily seasoned, but we have really don’t need it anyway. They cater to an older crowd, so expect the food to reflect that (but still good).

If you like Oysters this is the place. Their specials are all about Oysters & Fish dishes that are $35 & up. Thats not a special. Anyway nice place but limited menu. They cater to Oysyer lovers & High price Fish Entres. Not going back boring menu

This place clearly caters to the actively elder community so don’t expect anything to be seasoned or salt used whatsoever. The service was great, but the best thing on the menu was the salad and bread. Traveling from Miami I was super excited to try an authentic Maryland crabcake, unfortunately my search continues.
