We were not at all impressed with the biscuits and gravy and felt like it was straight out of a can. We were also very excited about the sourdough bread but the butter tasted kindof burnt or old or something and we didn’t end up eating it. I was, however, very impressed with the feta cheese in my gyro omelet. It was so good and like no feta I’ve had before. I asked the server about it and she said the owner brings it from Detroit. The gyro meat had very good flavor as well, which is not usually the case at many restaurants. The corned beef hash wasn’t from a can and my son loved it! I inquired about the desserts in the case as I paid my bill and the lady was very friendly and patient as she explained all of them. We got a coconut cake with raspberry filling. Very good!
Sadly, the food and coffee were not the greatest. The coffee on the Saturday I visited was very weak and watery. I ordered my eggs over-medium and they were quite runny and barely cooked to over easy. The pancakes were fluffy, but tasted like not enough sugar and too much baking powder was used, which can make them almost salty tasting; they were not terribly sweet.
But again, our waitress was fantastic, we were greeted warmly and seated quickly, and the restaurant, including the women’s restroom, we’re very clean and well kept.
Service is great, friendly, and helpful.
You gotta check it out for yourself.
There is a small bakery counter with interesting Greek pastries.
