Downtown Homer is charming. Dasher’s Corner Pub is that anchor joint every town needs. Cozy, great service, and a big and tasty menu. Great food and drink options entres from seafood to steaks. Pub staples like burgers and wings and the Clam chowda is dynamite!!

Really great atmosphere. Service is a bit slow and the bartenders struggled with tending the bar and getting the servers drinks for their tables. Food was decent. French dip bread should have been toasted and the wings cooked a little longer. Definitely would try it out again.

I wish I tried the food. Can only give 4 stars as I asked for a blue and got a blue moon. Otherwise we really enjoyed our time here. We were able to navigate a packed bar and have a few drinks. In a small town without much happening I can say this was a gem. If I’m ever in town I’m sure to stop here and have another one

Went for an early dinner on a Friday afternoon. Sat outside under the awning. Not busy inside or out. Don’t need to wait for a table. We shared the shaved Brussels sprouts salad with raisins and walnuts (excellent – highly recommend), and the lobster bisque, which was also very good. We also shared the pasta bocconcini, with mozzarella, tomato, garlic and basil in balsamic sauce. This was tasty, but could have had more mozzarella. Presentation was lovely for each item.
Service was off, in my opinion. The pasta came out while we were not even halfway through the salad, which I said we weren’t ready for, and then came out again as we were finishing the salad. Also, our server never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. It wasn’t a busy restaurant, so I struggled to understand why the service wasn’t more attentive. Oh well. Food was good enough to return. Hopefully service is better next time.

We were in the area and asked for a recommendation of a good place to eat. Dashers was the first place emphatically mentioned. So we went.
A booth was open right away and we got down to business. We started with a drink order and then ordered food
My wife got the Fish and Chips but substituted the chips with broccoli. The portions were substantial and the fish and broccoli were really good! The tartar sauce was a great addition.
I ordered the Steak Homer. The tenderloin medallions were seasoned and cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes and asparagus were amazing sides.
We decided to go with the special for dessert which was a cinnamon bun bread pudding ALA mode. It was sooo good.
I highly recommend Dasher’s. Go there if you can.

We actually got a ” bowl of soup” to go. It was more like a cup, very small container, we asked, is this a bowl, the bar keep said I don’t know, this is what they gave me. When I say, it was small and cost 6.50, I am not lying. Also we have been here so many times and have loved it, especially to soup that we got.we have always looked forward to the tomato bisque, It actually tasted like tomato sauce, no flavor, and very bland. Very disappointed with the food., unfortunately.

I stopped at the town of Homer just to have a break from my interstate drive and Dasher’s Corner pub caught my eye. I knew nothing of the town or any places to eat. Once inside I felt at ease, the tavern has a great feel to it and staff were friendly. I liked looking at the lobster/ sea food theme that made up the decor. From lobsters at the tap to lobster jars.
I had the lobster brisket and lobster newburg, both had great flavours and prices. If I am ever back in this area again I will come dine here once again. Btw their draft local beer was very good too.

Up visiting SUNY Cortland, a and the ladies at the hotel recommended this for dinner. They were spot on!
Tableside guacamole was pretty good. All fresh ingredients, and it had a great flavor.
I had a London burger. It had Stilton blue cheese, and it was cooked perfectly. I asked for medium-rare and they delivered it medium rare. The only thing I wish I would have done was upgrade the chips and salsa to french fries
My daughter had a plain American cheese cheeseburger…. she said it was cooked properly, and delicious.
Vikki had a a burger with a port wine reduction, and mushrooms. She also said she wished the chips that came with it were upgraded to fries.
The boy child had boneless wings and said they had a great taste but weren’t spicy enough.
All in all we will be back any time I come and visit I will be here. The food, services and atmosphere was excellent.
