Just Nah
First time at Parrain’s Jambalaya Kitchen on 179 Reynoir St, Biloxi, and I loved it. I had the chicken and sausage jambalaya which was full of flavor, and the crispy pork grinds dipped in comeback sauce were super crunchy and delicious.
The highlight was the chicken and sausage gumbo. I usually do not eat gumbo, but this one was BOOM. I could not stop eating it. The hot beignets were also amazing, soft and not oily at all.
I really respect the manager because she actively drives around town to different places telling people about the restaurant. It’s been around for years and most people don’t know about them ( including me lol). Our waitress was super sweet, and the cleanliness was top tier. Though there wasn’t a lot of space in the restaurant if you think of big parties. However I think they should get to be known more.

OMFG!!!
Some of the best food we have had in this trip !! We stayed in New Orleans and ventured out to biloxi miss,
The recommendation we got was either the signature special “ catfish pertain” or the swamp tour
We ended up getting the catfish pertain and the shrimp poor boy. Let me tell you something, I don’t know why there is no line out the door cause there should be . That signature dish was off the chain good!! The shrimp poor boy was the best we had . Mothers in New Orleans can’t hold a candle to this one !! Then we ended with some Madi grad beignets which was great as well but for a short time only !! Come get you some awesome comfort creole food !! It’s only 1hr 25 mins away from new Orleans. Trust me worth the drive or if in the area visit this place

We ate here for the first time today while traveling through after visiting a friend in Biloxi. We got the Shrimp and Catfish Poboys. I would definitely place them in the top 3 of best Poboys we have had the past several years. We will definitely have to come back next time we are in the area. We also really liked the woman who was working today as our front of house. She is just delightful.

What a tasty surprise! Everything was so yummy! Highly recommend the boudin balls, hog head cheese, the pork cracklins, the gumbo, the jambalaya, The shrimp Po boy… you definitely go with the catfish parrain! All the seafood is domestic. Highly recommend! The catfish parrain is plenty enough for two people to share. In fact, they split it for us in the kitchen.

I found this place on TikTok, and decided to give it a try. The staff is extremely warm and friendly. While they were explaining the history of their restaurant, I was provided a samples of their red beans & rice, gumbo, and étouffée. All 3 dishes were divine and flavorful, but I came to try the shrimp and catfish sampler and some beignets (10/10 by the way).
I plan to return and get a full serving of the red beans & rice and the warmer meals now that it’s getting cooler outside. I highly recommend this establishment in you’re in the area.

This is it!!! Under new management.
My wife had the best shrimp Poboy she’s ever had. They deep fry the bread here. It was absolutely amazing! I wrestled a bite from her.
I had the swamp tour which include included a serving of jambalaya, gumbo, red beans, and rice, and the best crawfish étouffée I’ve ever had.
We’re coming back for lunch tomorrow.
This is seriously some of the best Cajun food I’ve ever had. Don’t debate, just come here.

The food was fabulous!! The gumbo was outstanding and the bread was fried and delicious!!! Our server was very attentive and so nice. The only thing I would say is the restaurant needs lighting on the outside so people will know how wonderful the inside is!! You definitely need to put this on your list of amazing restaurants if you are a lover of Cajun food !

My day in Biloxi started off a bit rough when I learned that the breakfast buffet at the Palace Casino was only available on weekends. In two days of being in Biloxi I hadn’t had any food that impressed me. Everything up until our stop at Parrain’s was nothing better than necessary sustenance. After a fun trip on a fan boat in a swamp, my wife and I wanted one last Cajun style meal. We bee lined to Parrain’s. I can suggest you just forget dining at any of the Biloxi casino restaurants and bring your appetite to Parrain’s. We had a crawfish étouffée, a red beans and rice and their house made banana pudding with mini beignets and let me tell you, this was some of the best Cajun style food I’ve ever had. You don’t want to leave Biloxi without eating here! Our server, Tara (hope I spelled it right!), was awesome. She made our dining experience even better. The atmosphere is also very comfortable and relaxed. FIVE STARS ALL AROUND!

This place was absolutely fantastic!! The restaurant is small, but cozy! Our waitress was SO kind and full of energy. The food was fantastic; the crawfish etouffee was to die for, as was the shrimp po boy. Definitely try the white chocolate bread pudding, it was life changing.

I stopped here today and was thoroughly disappointed with my experience. I ordered a $17 po’ boy, which is already a steep price, but what I got was even more shocking. I had specifically asked for my condiments on the side, but that wasn’t even the main issue. The problem was the sheer lack of shrimp in the sandwich – a measly 12 shrimp to be exact, which translates to 6 shrimp on each bun. It’s laughable, really, and I found myself chuckling at the absurdity of it all.
The real kicker, though, is the value for money. Or should I say, the lack thereof. $17 for 12 shrimp is just insane, and the fact that the sandwich had more bread than shrimp is just sad. I couldn’t in good conscience recommend this place to anyone, especially when there are plenty of other affordable options out there. If you’re reading this review, please take my advice and go somewhere else where you can get a decent meal without breaking the bank. I won’t be back, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to waste their money like I did.
