We ordered veggie dirty fries and these were pretty good, but next time i think we’d just stick to regular fries. There’s enough in one portion to feed two adults.
The only minor gripe was that it took a little while to arrive, but it was quite a busy Friday night and to be honest, it was well worth the wait.
Shout-out to our server who was also amazing!
Unfortunately, at the very end the experience changed. We were clearly ready to leave but struggled to get the bill despite making eye contact with several staff members. We eventually went to the till ourselves. While the receipt was handled professionally, the atmosphere felt awkward since one staff member was loudly clattering and scraping cutlery, repeatedly making sharp noises as if reacting to something hot, while looking over. It felt unnecessary and uncomfortable.
Overall, amazing food and great service until the final moments, which left us a bit disappointed. Which brings the overall experience down to 3 instead of 5.
I decided to make a short sum up but I am sure the staff of yesterday evening knows what this refers to.
We also had a burger big bowl, this was big and very cheesy, perhaps a bit claggy, but very tasty.
N.B. burgers don’t come with any chips but default but they are big. We thought 2 or 3 sides were more than enough for 4 of us.
Staff were nice and friendly and attentive at first but it took ages for us to catch someone’s eye to get the check at the end.
All in, 4 meals and soft drinks were £100 including tip.
the atmosphere, however, wasn’t great on account of one staff member. we walked in and stood around for a couple minutes with no greeting from the guy at the front of house, a ginger guy who looked to be in his 30s, he was fiddling on the booking ipad. a younger dark haired staff member came by after clearly being busy, and this dude snapped at her, “there are customers waiting here”, so he had seen us, just didn’t care to acknowledge us. she asked him a question, it seemed that maybe she was in training, and he told her “cant you see that I’m busy? just shoo, disappear”, she looked embarrassed to be talked to this way, i felt so bad for her, if i had been spoken to like that in front of customers i would have thrown my apron down and left. we wanted to walk out at this point but then we were taken to our table by Mr. Face Ache so we felt committed to it. just to note, the place wasn’t even half full at this point so i have no idea what his problem was, but thankfully from then on we were served by the younger members of staff who were friendly and attentive, and would converse like normal people. i feel like this place could be so great, it just unfortunately left a bad taste in our mouths which certainly wasn’t from the food. i wish i had confronted that staff member about his treatment of the young girl at the time as i have been feeling bad for not sticking up for her ever since.
to her and to the rest of the staff, keep being awesome! to Mr Face Ache, lighten up!
Would definitely recommend, and will be back to try out different options!
