TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Dave’s Hot Chicken was a great place to stop for food and honestly from what I’ve had I think it’s the best chicken spot in Binghamton (though my knowledge of Binghamton chicken isn’t extensive). As a whole I believe the diner deserves a 4/5, the service was wonderful and the man at the counter was incredibly friendly.
I ordered the Dave’s Numbers 1 and 2, splitting them between me and my son, and we both enjoyed the food! (PS, The sandwiches are definitely the way to go.) but I have to say we were a little disappointed at the lack of ranch dressing. Generally the atmosphere inside the restaurant was good, it was vibrant and felt very welcoming, eating here made me feel like I had found the perfect place to have had stopped for food, though I do admit it was quite loud inside the building which was a bummer since both me and my son would have loved to eat inside (not a fan of super loud areas), I think that issue could be pretty easily fixed if they added sound dampening on the sealing, if they did I believe the atmosphere would be perfect, it would decrease the echoes and make it 10x better. Overall a good experience but could be improved in a few areas, I’m honestly shocked that a place this good could have started in a parking lot with only 900$ and if I’m in the area again I’ll definitely stop by here.

Not the best. I ordered the 2 piece meal. Don’t like the dry rub just poured on. The chicken you can tell is a quality piece Just is not for me, upset my stomach, ate only 1 piece. With bottle of water 18.00 not a value

While I am not one to try spicy meals, Dave’s Hot Chicken is an exception. Their chicken is absolutely delicious, with their spices having a subtly sweetness to them. Their cheese fried are also very delicious, along with their shakes. A little biased but Oreo is their best one. The staff here are very friendly and I was accommodated in a timely manner.

Fast comfort food. Both of my kids love this place (ages 14 & 4). I finally tried the vegetarian loaded cali bite fries. It felt indulgent. Lots of flavor in the spices that can span mild to hot. The best part is that you can order ahead and pick up when it’s convenient.

Cauliflower bites! WHAT! So ecstatic to see these on the menu. They were the best I ever had. So crispy and crunchy. Please do not get rid of the cauliflower. Fabulous. Oh and my husband and son said the chicken was fantastic too!

Dave’s Hot Chicken is my new favorite spot in the area. I got the two slider meal hot and extra hot. The extra hot was no joke but still delicious.
My wife got a slider and a tender. The portions are perfect. The seasoning is on point. The chicken has crunch. Fries were solid and well seasoned also. Loved the cheese sauce for dipping. Exceptional all around, can’t wait to try again.

Was stoked to finally try the place. They served us a hot curdled milkshake, then gave us a hell of a hassle when we wanted it refunded. They ended up having to void the entire order and telling me that I should probably get a refund in a day or two hopefully. They then wanted me to place my order again and double charge my card for our dinner but honestly I don’t trust their food handling enough to want to risk getting sick. Here’s hoping they actually refund me but my hopes aren’t very high. This was my first experience with this company and it will be my last

We had my mother stop in to grab us food because we were home & I was able to look over the menu online & told her what to order. Everything was very yummy! Prices are actually really good in comparison to other places and the food was of great quality!
The only complaint was my son wanted his chicken tenders to be spicy but I believe my mother probably ordered them as plain instead. But for the price and the meals absolutely plan to buy from Dave’s Hot Chicken again very soon

I’ve been a fan of Dave’s Hot Chicken ever since I first tried it in Boston, MA a few years ago. In my opinion, Dave’s serves the best chicken strips in the entire United States. The taste and quality have always stood out to me, even though the prices are a bit higher compared to places like KFC or Popeyes. For me, the flavor and experience have always been worth it.
Since discovering Dave’s, I’ve made it a point to visit whenever I’m in Boston. So, when I heard a new location was opening in Vestal, NY—my hometown—I was incredibly excited. I’ve been a loyal customer since opening day, often visiting once a week or more. This week alone, I’ve visited three times.
However, I feel compelled to share a concern regarding my recent visits. I’ve noticed a significant decrease in the size of the chicken tenders being served. In my latest orders, about 30–40% of the tenders were noticeably smaller than usual—well below the standard I’ve come to expect from Dave’s. While I understand that inconsistencies can happen when dealing with high volumes, this has been a repeated issue, not just a one-time occurrence.
If this continues in my future visits, I may unfortunately have to stop going to this location, despite my love for your food. I know I’m just one customer, but if others begin to notice the same issue, it could impact the reputation and success of the Vestal branch.
