This was our first visit and we’ll definitely go back.
Ashley is absolutely amazing! She made us feel like we were the only ones in the crowded restaurant. She talked us through the menu, shared personal favorites, and made sure we enjoyed every dish. All this without making us feel rushed in any way!
Be prepared to sit cozily with other patrons since the tables are pretty close, but it was totally fine with us.
The Olive Oil cake and chocolate cake are a MUST!
The patatas bravas are exactly the way we remembered when we were in Spain.
The chicken thigh is super tender and well-seasoned.
Bacon-wrapped dates – yummy!
Red Sangria- YES!

I’ve been there twice so far (photos are from both times). Their food is always good, drinks are , only reason I put one star off was the serving times were quite slow (good that we ordered paella ahead of time though!) First time I was there, there were not many people since they just opened around 4pm, but still it was quite slow. Second time, my friends and I were waiting for a long time for our dessert. The staffs are always very nice, so don’t get me wrong! They apologized for slow service-

We went as a couple for our anniversary. It was Monday, 1/2 price bottle day, and we got an excellent bottle of Nucerra Reserva 2019. It paired well with the Aperitivo Board, to which we added Acorn Squash a la Plancha and Gambas al Ajillo. The service was attentive, the decor and atmosphere urban and inviting, and the tastes took us back to Spain! Even the Flan was a standout!
Star performers were our server Conor, who made sure we didn’t miss any of the opportunities afforded by the comprehensive menu, and Manager Fred, who made us feel we were less in a restaurant and more like at a good friend’s home sharing family favorites.
Don’t miss a chance to dine at Barcelona. It’s a gem!

Before you stepped in, our service was disappointing. A server was reluctant to replace dirty wine glasses, claiming the water marks were “industry standard” (zoom in the photo), and when she did, the wine flight pours were uneven and low, as if punishing us for asking. Barcelona Wine Bar is usually our go-to for consistent food and friendly service, but the Raleigh location fell short that day. It wasn’t even busy (Super Bowl Sunday, 3pm), so there was no excuse.
Then Cameron took over, and everything changed. His warm, welcoming demeanor immediately put us at ease. He noticed we hadn’t received the house bread and promptly brought a fresh batch. He also sent all the bar wine glasses back to be rewashed, explaining there had been recent dishwasher issues. He constantly checked everyone’s pace with food and drinks. Even with an injured arm, he managed everything with one hand and gave his absolute best.
If you want true five-star service and beyond, go when Cameron is working. We tipped nearly 40% because he made us feel like guests in his very own home. We’ll definitely be back and plan to visit only when he’s there!

Great concept, there are not enough places to get tasty and well-priced tapas. Everything we tried was very good. I recommend the bravas, charcuterie, croquetas, and the specialty gin and tonics. Atmosphere is probably the best part about the experience, super elevated space. Dark but not too dark, noisy but not too loud.

Modern atmosphere with Spanish tapas and food but service could use a bit of work. Our group came here for a Sunday brunch for a table of 8 and overall the food was good but the service was infrequent and when the food came it started out slow and then everything all at once so pacing could be improved. I ordered a wine flight and some friends got cocktails that came but mine didn’t arrive until the end of the meal. For a group our size, we requested some serving utensils but they didn’t come. Other than the service hiccups, they had some good food dishes that I enjoyed including the Peach Montadito and Gambas and Grits. We also ordered the Paella Mariscos and the Paella Salvaje. They were good but missing the crisp rice on the bottom. Overall, not a bad place but decent food and improvements with service would make it much more enjoyable.

We had such an amazing evening at Barcelona Wine Bar in Raleigh! The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfect for a night out.
The service was absolutely top-notch. Zachary (the manager) was attentive and on point, while Kaylee was super friendly and made us feel right at home. Their hospitality truly set the tone for the evening.
The food was nothing short of excellent. The prawns were scrumptious, the swordfish was perfectly prepared, and then came the grand finale… that chocolate cake with ice cream. Delectable is an understatement! It was the sweetest ending to an already wonderful meal.
We left feeling so impressed and excited that we’ve found a new favorite spot to frequent. If you’re looking for great food, a welcoming vibe, and outstanding service, Barcelona wine bar is the place to be!

Amazing restaurant, food was as expected and that means delicious, but what really made it unforgettable was customer service. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by Jed the general manager with a super friendly attitude, then we had Taylor that made us feel comfortable and right at home which helped us choose a couple of tapas that obviously were amazing, last but not least Conor our server was very knowledgeable , thank you for a wonderful evening and you definitely have gain new customers! I got them 5 stars because it won’t allow me give them 100 !
