We ordered breakfast was ok nothing to write home about. Place seemed kinda dingy, carpet dirty and wads of napkins under table legs to keep the tables level. Got a Lazy toast coffee cup with chips on the bottom.

We came on a Friday morning in October for breakfast. The food was amazing, and the prices were very reasonable. Our server was friendly and polite. The view of Tawas Bay was lovely.

This is an amazing breakfast place on the bay. We got here early and watched the sun rise as we were eating. Not only was the food amazing but to get to watch a sunrise was so cool. Everything about this place was top notch. Service was super our waitress was handling everyones needs like a pro. The food was cooked as I asked. Wich is rare but they did it perfectly. We’ll be back to try other items.

We visited 2 days in a row because it was so good. There was a short wait but it was handled smoothly. The food is delicious, ample portions, and very reasonably priced. The view of the bay was the cherry on top! I will definitely return when I am back in town.

Local and have been eating here for years. It was our daughter’s birthday and she wanted Augies for breakfast. Everything was fine (except the creeps machine being broken for months) till our bill came. The waitress slid it to my husband saying “Here’s your check. Always to the gentleman, never to the lady.” While he is mid bite of food and we were not close to being done. My husband, caught off guard by the comment replied “That’s a little racist isn’t it?” and the waitress continued with “I dont make the rules, I just follow them.” as she walked away.

My husband is a +15yr food service vet and that exchange alone would have set him off for how unprofessional it was but I MAKE MORE MONEY in the household and was just insulted in front of our daughter at her birthday breakfast. Im not suppose to pay because there is a man with me? Ok.

I left the tipping to him.

Lovely Bay Side Diner open until 2 serving both breakfast and lunch to close. Very nice Bayside viewing from the attached dining room with reasonable pricing for their dishes. My Ruben could have been a bit heartier to my taste, I like a full sandwich. It was good but it could have been a bit bigger to have fries be an additional $3. Hot chocolate was warming and tasteful. I look forward dining at Augie’s again soon!

Ordered biscuits and gravy, toast, and potatoes to go. The biscuits had the centers of them ripped out to “make” a full order. Toast was burnt and I was given hashbrowns.

Great local place for breakfast. Ordered a half order of their amazing waffles and it still was a lot of food. Check it out if you are in the area. You won’t be disappointed. Amazing service too. Coffee cup was continuously filled and stayed hot.

We stop by on Sunday morning, for the fist time in that town, to have breakfast and enjoy the view. As soon we got inside I got yelled by the woman on the cash register to go back to the end of the line… I was only looking for the host! While waiting I got to observe the filthy kitchen, and I wanted to leave, but Daniel wanted to stay! We were seated on a tiny table positioned against few sheets of corrugated metal, over which they put a dirty kitchen cloth to protect the customer to get injured. I was sitting by that, and I had to be careful to avoid damaging my clothes and get hurt on my arm. While waiting for the order to come we got time to look around and see the water marks on the soggy and sagging ceiling tiles. The overall place didn’t look in a good and healthy shape. I ordered a “built your own omelette” with mushrooms, sausage, and extra cheese, with very crispy hash browns. The omelette was falling apart because no cheese and the hash browns were mushy. I asked to make it crispy again and after a long wait – we were done eating – the waitress brought back a plate of totally brown overcooked hash browns. The western omelette was a disappointment as well. 100% worse value per dollar and breakfast experience throughout USA!
