At our Stockbridge, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We sat in the drive-thru for a long time. One car pulled up and when I spoke on the speaker, no one responded. I sat quietly waiting to be helped for a while longer, but all I heard was someone on the mic, but not speaking. After a few more minutes of waiting, I said, “Hello?” I received no response then nor when I reied to reach someone a few minutes later. I am never rude. Rudeness accomplishes nothing at all. My thing is loving on people. If it wasn’t because we ordered the food for a church lady (online), we would’ve driven off at least 20 minutes ago. My family started getting restless, so my husband went inside. I went inside as well. When I went in there, there were two young ladies in the front. One was supposed to be helping customers on the drive-thru line, but was instead laughing and texting on her phone. She completely ignored us and was laughing away looking at us off and on. The other young lady who was supposed to tend to the front ignored my husband. We had an online order. She helped another customer and cracked a little smile at him because she probably thought the young man was cute to her. Overall, she looked miserable and her customer service reflected it. I continued to notice how she ignored us. My husband spoke up and gave her his name. She didn’t do much about that so I told her that we had an online order. She finally spoke to us and asked to see the order. He showed it to her on his phone, so she hollered at the other employees in the back asking if any of them had the order. The young lady who answered her located the order, so she bagged it up and gave it to my husband. She did not greet us or said thank you, goodbye, or anything courteous like that. She treated the other customer who left before us the same way. It is exhausting seeing how these young people are. How will they get ahead in life if they can’t show growth? I hope the best for them and that they will be able to mature and become successful women who other women can look up to. If she needs inner peace, I pray that she is able to find it. I know there are many broken people in this world. But, I hope they will be able to have new opportunities to grow and learn.
One more thing; the pick-up truck that was waiting at the window for a long time before us was still there when we left. He probably should’ve gone inside as well.
OAN the restroom could use some assistance.
It’s 11/10/23. My family and I decided to try Captin D”s again in our surrounding area. It’s been a while since we came here. Today’s food was ok. I got the deluxe seafood platter for $11.99. My fish was okay, my crab cake was overcooked & dry. Loaded baked potatoes were dried out as well. However, my shrimp, green beans, and hushpuppies were good. It’s a solid hit or miss here.. We ordered three dinners. I only reviewed and showed my food.
