I have been here a few times, the food is pretty good. The staff is always really friendly, and they were busy but when we were done eating and staff walked by no one took any empty dishes or bowls of the table. The table ended up being really full with empty dishes.
We also had to asked for refill on salsa, they brought more in a new bowl and left the empty one. Also noticed the portions on the lunch menu definitely gotten smaller. Still a very good place to come and eat.

First time here, like always, and I wasn’t terribly impressed with the food. My rating would be 3.5/5 stars. It was good, don’t get me wrong, but it wasn’t wowing me. It’s a typical Mexican-American restaurant for me. Their queso tasted like a base for macaroni and cheese for me. Wasn’t amazing but it wasn’t bad. Their chips are good though. Warm and a little bit tangy/sour (lime/lemon I’m assuming) their salsa on the other hand was amazing. Love the addition of cilantro! I got their Quesadilla Hawaiiana and it came with 4 slices (typical quesadilla size) and a dollop of sour cream, Guacamole, and a little bit of pico de gallo and lettuce shreds. I was expecting beans and rice to be added but I guess that was my fault for not reading close enough. The sauce they added in the quesadilla was good! Flavorful and seasoned just right. Chicken was a moderate amount and cheese wasn’t overbearing. My plate did look sad a bit but for $11 you can’t complain. Their margarita was very good as well! Overall, I would come back again but not if I had other options. If you’re in the area, it’s a good eat for sure! They’re super busy so it gets crowded in there. I noticed it to be a bit small in there. Service was great though.

If these fajitas had a fan club, I’d be the president, treasurer, and guy handing out free samples in a sombrero.

La Carreta didn’t just serve fajitas—they served feelings. The skillet came out sizzling louder than my Spotify playlist, and I’m pretty sure the steam alone cleared my pores. One bite and I started rethinking my life choices, like why I haven’t been eating here every day since birth.

The steak was so tender it practically whispered sweet nothings to my taste buds, and the peppers were cooked to perfection—not too crunchy, not too soft, like they were raised by a five-star chef and a therapist.

Anyway, 10/10. Will return. Might propose to the fajitas.

I’ve eaten here many times and it’s always enjoyable and tastes good. I ate outside and had fantastic service. They served me as if I was inside. My server tonight was Josias. 10/10 will come again. Hands down, the best Mexican restaurant in town.

My wife and I have been to virtually every Mexican restaurant in and around the Olathe Ks. O.P. Kansas area, and we always find ourselves headed back to La Carreta. We love their top shelf margaritas and have found the salsa, chips and menu selections to be very good. They are consistent and the customer service has always been first rate. We always know what we are getting and it’s one of our favorite Summer evening destinations.

We were in a rush for the dance and we got seated immediately, our waiter asked what we wanted to drink as soon as we sat down, then asked for our food. We got it less then 10 minutes, quickest me and my friends have ever been there. We weren’t even late to the dance, thank you!

Everything was wonderful. Clean, plenty of parking, friendly service, great portions of food. Homemade salsa! This vegetarian girl loved the grilled fajita. Even frosted glasses for the beer. Thank you Manny for a surprisingly perfect meal.

The food is on par with most other restaurants, but the service was impeccable. Extremely fast and friendly. Having a window view to watch the trains is a nice bonus.

Good food. Very crowded. The parking lot was a pain because of how packed it was. Not really the restaurants fault. Though.
A little more pricey than I’d have liked. But the food didn’t disappoint.

Edit: went again, someone stole my food I had preordered. The staff noticed without any hesitation, and they made me a fresh order, even giving me a free coke to go. Very kind service here. Thank you.

Great Mezican restaurant of Gardner. Food and service were on point. They always do a great job. Most of the server staff is fun and will joke around.
2nd time – The service is absolutely wonderful. The food is also great. Always hot when they are brought to us.
