We visited Barrett’s Ale House in Fall River for a family birthday dinner, and overall had a really good experience. Our server and the staff were great — friendly, patient, and more than willing to help us with pictures for our group of eight, which we really appreciated.

Food-wise, most of the dishes were a hit. The buffalo chicken dip appetizer was delicious, and the baked mac & cheese, fish & chips, and chicken stir fry were all enjoyed by my family. My steak tips were cooked more than I prefer with “chefs vegetables” that were more like a teriyaki stir fry, but they were still flavorful.

The only thing that could’ve been better was the seating arrangement. We were placed directly in the center of the main room facing the door, even though there was an entire side room that wasn’t being used. A slightly more private or comfortable spot would’ve made the celebration feel even better.

Overall, we’d definitely go back and do recommend — great staff, good food, and a solid option for family gatherings.

Well over a decade coming here without a single bad experience. Good food and drinks. Good service. Attached arcade is great for the kids!

For 3 years now, Tim has helped me put together a summer party menu with spectacular results. Regardless of the event circumstances, in my experience, nothing brings a group together like great food and Barrett’s doesn’t disappoint !

Nice place that offers a wide selection that should please all appetites. Ali our waitress was very pleasant and we were seated right away even though the other couple that was joining us ran late about 10 minutes. We ordered drinks and it gave us time to look over the menu.
Also, they offer a military discount which i was not expecting.

Was recommended to go here to watch a game. The hostess was extremely rude, no eye contact or acknowledgment for almost 10 minutes with other guests piling up behind us. We asked to see a specific game & were informed they do not have Sunday Ticket & can only show 1 game at a time. The self-proclaimed “family-style sports bar,” doesn’t have Sunday Ticket?

I heard good things about the food but considering how rude the hostess was & the lack of consideration for their guests, no Sunday ticket etc, those are all red flags for how this establishment is ran.

Completely dissatisfied. No stars for management or our server .
We went here last night , 4 adults and 2 toddlers, our server took our drink order and brought them out and took our dinner order and then we didn’t see her again for almost an hour . When she did come by again it was to tell us they were “short handed” (UGH) and our meals were coming soon . 2 meals came out and the kids meals which were barely warm and looked dry . 5 minutes later a small pizza and my pasta dish finally came out . I immediately noticed the dry edges on the pasta and when I asked our server how long it had been sitting under the heat lamp she got an attitude with me and said “ I don’t know , i didn’t go in the kitchen “. I sent it back expecting a fresh plate but all they did was stir it up and reheat it and throw it back in front of me . The kids by now were getting cranky and didn’t want to be there any more and my pasta pissed me off to no end so we finished what we could and left . No apologies, no manager , no break on the check just complete ignorance. If she had told us it was going to take an hour we would have gone somewhere else and tried this place another time . I’ve heard a lot about this place and was completely disappointed so we definitely “Will Not “ be going back .

Typical clean sports bar type of feel, family friendly. I just feel like the prices don’t really match for the quality/quantity I would expect. $3 Coors is a good deal if you’re okay with that. Definitely a great hangout spot. I would be hesitant to return for a dedicated meal though.

As a once waitress I really hate writing bad reviews but this was so terrible. Service was terrible, waited forever for food. Another table sat after us and ordered way after us and received their food well before we did. Server basically took the plates off the table while a few of us were still eating. Nice person but terrible…. also after a few hours eating everyone at the table is sick. Horrendous experience.

Random night down south to get some ice roll but thought to bring the family for food before dessert. I love the Bridgewater location so why not try here? The server seemed to either not want to be there or didn’t want to serve us but even my 14 year old daughter asked why was he so rude. Otherwise the food was pretty good other than the chicken parm egg rolls which were disgusting and overpriced. I sadly would rather try somewhere else if ever in town and hungry again.
