When you think of the ideal hometown diner this is the place. The staff is extremely friendly and the music as well as the atmosphere takes you on a timeless journey as you enjoy a hot and delicious meal. This is hands down the best chicken fried steak I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying and I look forward to trying everything on the menu in time as I move up here to Muncie. If you haven’t indulged in this delicious home cooking I implored that you don’t pass this place up. Thank you all for running an amazing cafe and I look forward to frequenting this location.

The server Cheryl (I believe that’s her name) has worked at the Sunshine Cafe for years, according to her staff mates.
First of all, our server was WONDERFUL!!! She told us about the menu, and about a few perks as well (you’ll have to go there and find out yourself). The food is wonderful, no wonder they are packed!
The menu was fantastic, and they also have a senior menu with nice choices. We were there for lunch, the burgers are great and I have never had onion rings as good as the ones here! Pickles are on the side, a lot of them. I was in Heaven! My husband said his burger was awesome, as well.
The order pad slip you use to take up to the register is awesome. They are made out of cardboard compared to the regular super thin slip you usually get. Perhaps because most of the people I saw in the place were wearing glasses…take that as you want…lol.
Our server always checked back appropriately, filed up a second coffee crafe for us, and was just super nice throughout our meal. I ordered dessert, which was also very good!
All in all, if you don’t stop in to the Sunshine Cafe when you’re in Muncie, you’ve got yourself to blame for your next eat out experience!

The food was wonderful, got there breakfast and enjoyed there Belgium waffle with the strawberry topping on it, along side of bacon then for an appetizer there Chilli with cheese is definitely a must have! My friend got there platter with pancakes that are most definitely unique in flavor compared to the typical pancake . The atmosphere is very homie and the service is great. Wonderful server and customer care. definitely a recommendation for breakfast morning or evening and they even have all you can drink coffee for those who love to have a nice cup of Joe. Hope this review helps those who haven’t tried there food yet!

Let me start by saying if you don’t ever clean the bathroom , what’s happening in the kitchen . After 25 minutes we got up and left. Then they clearly over charged us for the drinks we didn’t drink. The waitress rudely told us it wasn’t fast food after we asked how much longer they thought it would be.
