We celebrated our very first Christmas with our newborn baby at SIAM Thai Restaurant, and it was such a lovely experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful, making us feel comfortable and relaxed as new parents. The food was absolutely delicious — full of authentic Thai flavours, fresh, and beautifully presented. The calm ambience and attentive service made this special day even more memorable for our little family. Thank you, SIAM Thai, for making our first Christmas with our baby so special. Highly recommended!

Never exceptional but not the worst. Service is always friendly but there is better value elsewhere. Quality is average. The best thing on the menu is crispy duck. But the portions are generally small. The stir fried chicken is tiny for €27 and I understand why they push the rice and noodles extras as there is about 200ml of stock in the bottom of a small bowl. Was delighted this restaurant accommodated us for a 9:20 seating when their kitchen closes at 9:30. I’ve been coming here for years as it’s a reliable and convenient place in Dundrum. Ordered the Duck Panang and brown rice. Was really a large portion but probably a little Spicer than normal. We really couldn’t finish our portions so we took them to go, added a can of coconut milk the next day and it was the perfrct lunch and even nicer.

Siam Thai Restaurant serve authentic thai food. Their tom yum gung(Tom yum with prawn) had the exact flavor of the tom yom gung I had at the street markets of Pattaya thailand.
The ambience of restaurant is very comfortable as well. Also the staffs were very attentive of the needs of their customers.

I had lunch with friends. We came here because of the good reviews. The food was lovely, and the service was okay—but one staff member (a lady wearing glasses) really ruined the mood.
We ordered water, and while all the other customers received a jug, she only gave us two glasses. That was fine. But what really made me mad was when she collected the starter plates—she slammed the knife and fork.

Infrequent customer, but long-running advocate who has always enjoyed Siam in every aspect. On this occasion, I was in Dundrum with guests from overseas who have never eaten Thai food before, so we made an impromptu drop-in to Siam upon my insistence. Although we had no table reservation, the staff were kind enough to accommodate. We started in the beautiful Candlelight Bar for cocktails, before heading down to our table where I asked for our bill to be transferred. Everything was perfect up until this point, as the remainder of my experience was filled with frustration and unease by our waiter’s rude demeanour and unattentiveness throughout.
A simple question re. the menu prompted visible irritation in our waiter from the outset. He subsequently returned, deciding to completely ignore me and rather focus on my guests who, as it happens, do not speak any English. I flagged this to his attention, and still needed to ask him twice if he could stand nearer me so that I could give our order and avoid talking over my guests in doing so. He reluctantly approached nearer while upholding the very same discourteous attitude from earlier. Once the order was made, he never returned at will despite passing our table on numerous occassions. I needed to call for his attention for extra plates, and once again water for the table. Our food came out quick, and there was an impression of general urgency in the restaurant. Our bill came upon request, however did not include our order from the Candlelight Bar. This was genuinely not noticed by myself as I didn’t take the time to fully check line by line. I wanted to pay and leave given the unease of how the evening transpired. After clearing the bill, the staff then approached with a seperate bill from the Bar, with a subtle insinuation that we were trying to pull a fast one. Once this was cleared (and mild embarrassment addressed with my guests) they used the WC and I decided to speak with the manager.
She was incredibly respectful and understanding, and in fact spoke to me earlier that evening to inform and advise on the Early Bird menu – allowing us to arrive at our table 5mins early to avail of it. She did not have to do this, which showed real sincerity which I appreciated. She was professional and pleasant, as was the person who served us at the bar. My only gripe was with the person who served our table in the restaurant.
We also never received any tea/coffee which was part of the Early Bird package, albeit we never thought to ask. However I think its incumbent upon the staff to ensure the option was there and made clear, particularly if you’re paying for it. But again there was urgency in the air which really steals from the ambience and attentiveness I once really appreciated at Siam Dundrum.

Food and drinks were amazing however I was slightly disappointed with the service, When i was making the reservation I made sure to tell them it was my husbands birthday and I asked if they could come out with a desert and a candle however that never happened. We were never asked if we wanted a desert, after waiting about 10 mins I had to call over and ask for a desert menu, I was hoping they would then come out with the desert and and a candle for my husbands birthday but that never happened and it was too late then for me to ask for it as we already ate and were really to leave. Therefore I left disappointed, and therefore I don’t think I would celebrate a birthday there again.

The stand out part of our experience was my cocktail. One of the best I’ve had in my life which is saying something. Our food was all pretty good, although you could possibly find better Thai restaurants in Dublin. Overall, a good experience and I’ll definitely be back for another cocktail.

It is not one of the most affordable restaurants, but it is well worth it. We ordered the early bird two-course lunch, which includes a starter, main course, and tea or coffee. A dessert is available for an additional 5 euro. Even though I was overstuffed by the end of my lunch, I had to have dessert because why not. The staff members were quite pleasant and well-trained. The service was quick and easy. The dinner was truly wonderful and flavorful. Every bite was delicious. I enjoyed the restaurant’s atmosphere, with its rooftop seating and large windows that allow for natural lighting and beautiful views while you eat.
